Keep your system going with FSP's SAGA+ 450W Max power supply. This is a great choice for upgrading an older system if you want to keep your old case. Filled with new technology, it's designed to keep you powered up well into the future. Greater than 70% efficiency and 1W standby mode will help save you money on your electric bills.

Pros: Had this for five years and still running strong. It's only powering a E6750 dual core though, nothing fancy.

Cons: Wish the cables were wrapped for better cable management.

5 out of 5 eggsDiesel

Pros: I have had this thing on my desktop for 5 years. It has literally not missed a beat for that entire time. Granted the GTS 250 and a e6600 Core 2 is not exactly the most demanding thing for this PSU, but it has survived a subtle pounding since 2007.

Quiet and cool.

Cons: None.

5 out of 5 eggsThe Fortron Bunny

Pros: Has seen almost daily service for almost 4.3 years, shutting down at the end of the day. It your basic reliable power source, highly recommended. Quiet. Oh, yeah, the warranty: 3yrs.

Cons: As one reviewer commented I recall that the wire bundles were a little crossed, limiting somewhat the separation of each cable. Lots of molex, few sata connectors. There might be others in the price range with active pfc, rebates.

Other Thoughts: Computer is quiet but not silent, adding Themaltake 80mm case fans to be as quiet as possible with good air flow. I've changed out mobos, ram, cpu, hdds, but have kept the psu. Just purchased an Athlon II X4 Propus and to my surprise, using the eXtreme Power Supply Calculator, this one still provides plenty of watts. I'll be using its mate which was purchased at the same time, but has very little use. Got to take capacitor aging into account.

2 out of 5 eggsFan Noise

Pros: Has all the necessary power connections; 450W; replaced original dell PS for dimension 8300.

Cons: 1 year into service; the fan started to get really noisy. Now, when the computer is turned on; the power supply makes just exceedingly loud amount of noise, could hear it from the other room...

Other Thoughts: I know it's suppose to be a quiet PS and others say so too; but mine now is just really annoying. Otherwise it's a good power supply.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat PSU

Pros: This lasted me about 3 years, 11 months, which is way longer than almost every other power supply I have ever had, especially the ones I get from store-bought computers. It was easily worth the price and more. I had my computer on most of the time and gamed a lot, so I know this got a good workout! I also didn't use a APS to prevent brown-out damage (Yeah I know I should) so I know it withstood the risks perfectly fine. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: It's worth it to get a good PSU and this was well worth the money when I bought it in Feb 2007. I'm glad I didn't go with a cheaper one.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing power supply!

Pros: I love this power supply! I've had it since 2007 and it has been running very strong as a test power supply. It is still just as quiet as when I first bought it and still holding up. I've used this power supply to run many many computers before I sold them. It's definitely top notch quality!

Cons: Could have used cable sleeves or something to keep the cables better organized, but that's not really a con.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat PSU!

Pros: Had all the proper connections I needed to run 3 SATA drives and an 8800GTS. Still kickin' after 3 years too!

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I haven't had any problems with this PSU at all, I'd definitely recommend it for a budget build.

3 out of 5 eggsGood until it wasn't

Pros: Easy install, quiet.

Cons: After less than a year began to have intermittent problems that took a long time to diagnose and wreaked havoc with other components in the system until replaced.
