4 out of 5 eggsGreat price, Great enclosure.

Pros: It comes with many accessories for the very low price, and it works very well.

Cons: it was a bit difficult to put the drive in, but not too difficult, and some holes need to be drilled for adequate heat dispersion as mentioned in previous reviews.

Other Thoughts: For the price, you cant beat it. It rocks, you should buy it if you are looking for a cheap enclosure that does its job.

2 out of 5 eggsPlug Popped First Usage

Pros: 80x80mm fan on an external case is a big plus, not many cases have these large fans. Case looks nice

Cons: The electrical plug on this thing is cheap! The first plug I got popped on first usage. The second seems to be holding out. When running chkdsk external crashes. External can't handle commands being given during certain phases of chkdsk. I would steer clear of this external eventhough it looks good on paper. Cheap power supple for drive alone.

Other Thoughts: Drive I currently have in there was checked on 2 different machines without the case and scanned perfect. But when chkdsk was run with drive in case crashed XP on 2 different systems.

1 out of 5 eggsDO NOT PURCHASE!

Pros: None, unless you like the smell of electrical fire.

Cons: Plug popped the first time I plugged it in, and the internals sizzled. Smelled electrical fire. Took out the HD I'd installed, plugged back into desktop, and it was dead. Company tech support email doesnt work, and when emailed directly my email was rejected as spam!

Other Thoughts: Manufacturer wants to replace the unit at my cost to ship back... as if I'd trust another HD in one of their units.

4 out of 5 eggsVary good exturnal HDD case.

Pros: This is one of the best EX DRIVES if found vary easy to use with the power button on the front panel. The led light is vary dim witch helps if your trying to sleep and vary quiet only a slight hum from the fan witch keep the HDD cool. I plan to buy a few more.

Cons: As stated before the cables are short but I just used some other USB cables I had. Cant do much about the power cable. Also the fan dose just circulate hot air (REED FIX 1). it is a bit of a tight squeeze for the drive and cables so i don't recommended swamping out drives repetitively may damage cables.

Other Thoughts: FIX 1: If you don't want to void the warranty to solve the air flow just loosen the screws to a point were their almost going to come out then pull the front forward so there is a gap on the side, this will allow air to freely flow and keep is cool. For thos of you not afraid just grind a slot were the fan is or drill a few holes in the general area.

4 out of 5 eggsNot bad

Pros: Relatively inexpensive for a 3.5 inch enclosure.
Works as advertised.
Toolless, I didn't even need to use the optional screws to mount the hard drive to the hard drive tray.
eSATA and USB options.

Cons: I agree with previous reviewers, the fan is really recirculating warm air inside the case.
The AC adapter is really short, probably half the length of the USB cable.

Other Thoughts: Maybe if the side of the enclosure had some ventilation, then the fan might be of some use.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Fast data transfer, even faster when using the eSATA cable, fan, Great case for the money.

Cons: Fan just moves the air around inside of the case, if you don't put the back plate back on then it cools the drive down very well.

Power and data cables are way too short, they are all about 3 feet, I like then all to be atleast 6+ feet.

Has a wall wart, takeup more than one outlet on a power strip.

Other Thoughts: heavy case, I thought there was already a hard drive in it when i got it.
