1 out of 5 eggscrash and burn *Update*

Pros: Was a good looking heavy psu, with all the plugs you would ever need.

Cons: This psu lasted one month before it died. In the days leading up to its death there were sighs that the psu wasn't delivering 1k watts instead it was more around 750-800 watts.

Other Thoughts: This model of kingwin psu seems to be made by Super Flower inc. which just so happens to make quite a few of the not so reliable psu on the market today. Not saying I wont buy one of there psu again but not this one.

1 out of 5 eggsBuyer Beware

Pros: Did not appear to have any defects out of the box. Nice big fan for cooling.

Cons: In short this power supply upon first boot of system fried both of my gtx 660's in sli. Not sure of the rest of the extent of the damage.
This is how it happened, put all components into Haf 923 advanced, mothboard is asus z77 sabertooth. All connections were varified correct. Hit power switch and no boot power. LED's were on with both GPU's and MB. Rechecked all connections and tried again. no power at all. Took rig into local pc shop and after testing, turns out power supply caused shorts in both graffics cards and caused their test equipment to smoke. Tried psu on different set ups and it sometimes fired up and others no. Also burnt a test motherboard on one test. This is the first time in about 20 builds I have ever seen something like this and I know it might just be a fluke. All I know is the guys at the shop used very choice words peering at me thru the smoke of fried graffics cards and boards.

This caused some serious damage to the asus gtx 660's in sli on my rig and who knows what else. Motherboard tested on a different powersupply and posted to bios so i guess that is good but both graffics are BBQ'ed. Hope this helps someone out and sorry Kingwin, it looked like a good PSU but this one needs and exorsism

2 out of 5 eggsDisappointed

Pros: It lasted approximately 3 years.

Cons: Up and died without any warning.

Other Thoughts: Although one should be happy with a product that lasts 3 years or so, the computer I had a Kingwin power supply in, model ABT-600CW (no longer available) received very light use. It was in my wife's computer which she uses to primarily browse the internet. Considering the load, this PS should have lasted longer. I have laptop AC adapters last longer.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Had this psu for a month with no issues at all.

Cons: the 4-8 plug is rather short, went and bought an extension adapter for it ahead of time.

Other Thoughts: The way they have the pcie connectors set up is alittle odd but they do work.

I would buy this product again.

4 out of 5 eggsOne of the cables is short

Pros: So far its a really nice power supply. Easy to install as well. One of the main reasons I brought it was because it had the blue LED in it, which matched my theme.

Cons: I wanted to post this particular review because one of the cables was short and I almost could not plug it in. I am a first time builder so feel free to throw tomatoes at me if I say its the wrong plug on the motherboard. It was the CPU power connector way at the top of my ASUS motherboard. I really had to pull the cable to stretch out the stiffness in it to plug it in and I was barely able to plug it in.

Also the cables are stiff so be aware of that as well but shouldn't turn you away from buying this.

5 out of 5 eggsVery good 1000W power supply

Pros: - 1000W power for a great price
- Semi-modular, means you don't have to hide the unnecessary cables in your case.
- Great looks which fit my blue LED case fans

Cons: The 8-pin CPU power cable was not long enough to allow for proper cable management, so it kind of just hangs in front of the GPU.

Other Thoughts: Great 1000W power supply for its value, definately recommended for dual video cards system (which I don't have yet!)

My setup:
CPU: i7-3820 @ 3.6GHz
MB: Asus P9X79 Pro
Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo
GPU: EVGA GTX 680 FTW+ 4GB
RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws Z (4 X 4GB) 1600MHz
Case: Rosewill Blackhawk Mid-Tower
PSU: Kingwin KX-1000 1000W
HDD: Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB 7200 RPM
SSD: Corsair Force GT 120 GB

4 out of 5 eggsGood PS for the price

Pros: Semi modular, beefy 12 volt rail!

Cons: Semi modular.... And I wish I could shut off the stupid blue LED that lights up the fan...

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Power Supply

Pros: - 1000 watts, Enough power to power 2 demanding video cards and a i7 CPU.
- Modular, I can use cables that I need and don't need.
- Blue led light matches my case

Cons: - Not fully modular; I had to hide some cables in the case.
- Not Gold Certified (But I knew that)
None of these things are worth taking an egg off of.

Other Thoughts: If you want to do a dual sli or crossfire setup then you should get this power supply
