Hiper-power your system with the 4M880. This 880W PSU delivers the power you need for both the CPU and video subsystem. It comes with both P4 and P8 power connectors and is SLI certified up to dual GeForce 8800 Ultras. Compliance with ATX 12V v2.2 and EPS 12V v2.91 specifications means that this unit will serve you well now and into the future.
Active PFC and 85% efficiency help to ensure clean, stable power. The four +12V rails balance the power load. Two of the rails are 18A and the other two are 30A so you know they can handle your system's needs. The high power efficiency plus the mesh case and large fan mean that the PSU puts out less than 20dB under normal load.
To help keep your cabling clean so you don't have a bunch of extra connectors hanging around useless Hiper developed the Extender system. The floppy, and some of the Molex connectors are on removable sub cables. All the cabling is tightly wrapped for easy cable management.

Superb PSU at any price.
- Pros: Quiet, powerful, EPS12V. Excellent product, period.
- Cons: Cables are a bit on the long side, but that can be a pro as well, depending on your particular case. My mobo's main power connectors are right beneath the PSU, so I have a lot of extra cable in there.
- Other Thoughts: Was not really familiar with the HiPer brand until I started researching PSUs on Newegg. For the price, I figured this one had to be a generic piece of junk, but all reviews I could find were extremely positive. I am very happy with this PSU and will definitely buy HiPer again. HiPer is a small company in the UK that focuses on making the best, high-performance PC hardware at an affordable price. They definitely live up to that goal. The packaging was simple recycled cardboard, but what was inside it was pure quality. Cannot recommend them highly enough.
Great performance - and worth a buy
- Pros: Tight cable wrapping and a very solid performance, this unit easily powers a QX9650 + 2 9800GX2 on a 790I board, which was the project I used it for. There is something of overkill with people using 1200W etc.. This is Power Supply is efficient, runs very cool for what it's doing and the cables are just about perfect length for use in a case like a Aplus 380 or Armor Series.
- Cons: The power supply uses a lot of extenders to reach it's # of 12VDC Molex. I really don't care for this solution, but I do appreciate how it helps clean cable clutter.
- Other Thoughts: This is maybe one of the best "values" in a Power Supply. This is an 880W PSU that outclasses numerous of the 1000W PSU I've used (significantly better performance then the Antec or OCZ 1000). In fact, for the value, it's a really difficult reach before you find a step up from this that merits the cost with regards to requirements. If you're pushing TriSLI, of course, you're going to want something bigger - but this is one of the best performing units I've ever seen. Forget the price, this outclasses units twice the cost.

So far Great
- Pros: working great - had it running now a little over month powering my system: asus m3a79-t, amd 5400+ BE (oc to 3.1), 2x sapphire 4850, samsung and LG DVD/cd players, 2x western digital 250 gb HD's (raid 0) plus the pump for the water cooling system
- Cons: none
- Other Thoughts: No problem with reccomending this power supply
Great PSU
- Pros: Stability
Cable Wrapping Quiet
- Cons: None
- Other Thoughts: For the price and voltage stability, I'm very satisfied. It's great build quality implies it'll hold up over the long run.
Gigabyte DS4 Mobo, Intel Core i7 920, Sapphire HD 4870 1GB, OCZ Gold PC3 12800 (3 x 2GB), HIPER Type M HPU-4M880 PS, Antec Twelve Hundred Case
It works.
- Pros: It works, it powers a very low end system like it was nothing.
P4 3.0GHz OC'd to 4.0 3GB of DDR2 667 RAM ATi X1550 D2L 512MB GPU 2 Optical Drives 2 SATA 3.0GB/s HDD's 6 Case Fans
All without a hitch. Like I said, this system is outdated so I really would have been almost disturbed if it had any trouble powering it. Amazing for the price. Buy it, buy it now. Could EASILY power a more modern machine
Pre-wrapped cords
Quiet
Black
Cheap
Tons of adapters and extensions
Came with stickers.
- Cons: The wires are quite stiff at first, making cable management almost impossible until they are "broken in".
Fan is relatively slow, but this is common in power supply fans. Will be replacing it with a custom high CFM fan soon to bring down the temps as much as possible. Odd plug layout. Instead of two molex's on one plug, there is one, and you have to use an adapter to get the second one (for optical or hard drives or whatever). This could be a pro for some (less cables), but it was an extra step i didn't feel was necessary for my situation.
- Other Thoughts: What else is there to say?
It hasn't caught on fire yet.
