Very reliable
- Pros: Reliable, efficient 80% certified, plenty of connectors, stable voltages, good price.
- Cons: None
Solid PSU
- Pros: I bought this unit because of its reputation and price, and it hasn't let me down. Worked great from the start and haven't experienced any issues yet.
ASUS M4A78T-E 790GX; Phenom II X3 710 (OC'd to 2.88Ghz); MSI GTX 260 Factory Overclocked; 4GB OCZ DDR3 1600; Antec 900 (5 fans)
- Cons: A lot of cords to manage.
Still Going
- Pros: It's Seasonic! Nuff said!
- Cons: None. If there are any it would be the low for high overclocks on the new 45nm cpu's amd makes. Don't know this for a fact, but if you want to over clock some 125 or 140w cpu's, I'd get at least a 600-650w psu for headroom purposes.
- Other Thoughts: I've been using this for over a year and since then Seasonic has built up quite a reputation for itself. The prices on some of their bigger psu's state to that fact. This has been powering a rig with a dual core amd, a 3870,couple hard drives, antec 900 worth of fans and at one time 2 dvd drives as well as 4 gigs of ram(2x2). Seasonic rocks.....I got this under 50 bucks with free shipping a year ago and it's still solid. I'm updating motherboard and cpu and also the psu for overclocking headroom on the new quad core amd cpu's. Don't think this will handle it, but I have a 7750BE coming in and that will give me an Idea on the power comsumtiom, but even that is a 95w tdp cpu and not the 125 deneb. Considering I'm using an 89w tdp cpu currently that won't overclock worth snot, the 7750 will be a good test. If you want solid performance from a leader in the industry and you're not overclocking.....here it is. I had to buy an extension cable for the cpu power plug on the antec 900.
