Not for High powered video cards
- Pros: It's Quiet and Modular
- Cons: Don't fool yourself 17amps on 2 12v rails will never power a 4870 at load. That's 17 amps to power the motherboard/cpu, ide/sata devices and 17amps for just the video card.
- Other Thoughts: I have used just the powersupply it's self to power a 4890 (I used another powersupply to power my motherboard and all ide/sata devices) and under load this PSU can't power a 4890 clocked at 4870 (and lower) settings.
Exceptionally modular, blissfully quiet
- Pros: Excellent modularity, virtually silent fan. It's great to be able to attach only the cables needed for your devices, and leave the rest in the box.
- Cons: None.
- Other Thoughts: My second SeaSonic PSU; purchased the previous one (ECO 300) from NewEgg in 1/2009 for a home theater PC (where low noise levels are paramount). Purchased this one on the basis of my high level of satisfaction with the other one, and I'm not disappointed.
Seasonic is Good Stuff
- Pros: I have 3 Seasonics in the house now. They are all quiet and work. Modular cables.
- Cons: None. Great quality.
- Other Thoughts: I am sold on Seasonic.
