3 out of 5 eggsDisappointed

This review is from: SeaSonic 80 Plus SS-350ET Bronze 350W ATX12V V2.31 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: SeaSonic seems to have a good product.

Cons: The cables to the motherboard were too short for the ASRock FM2A88M-HD+ R2.0 in a Cooler Master N200 case, unbelievable! --- that is if you wish to have cable management and no cables stretched to their connections.

Other Thoughts: It gets the power part done, looks like messy inside.

Manufacturer Response:

Hi Francine, thank you for the review, please note, the 350ET is mainly for system integrators and therefore the cabling are on the short side, compared to our Retail unit. If you need longer cables, then please select from one of our many Retail units which are mainly targeted for people who build their own systems and the cables are for certain, long enough. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at: newegg@seasonicus.com Thank you.

5 out of 5 eggsAnother good one!

This review is from: SeaSonic 80 Plus SS-350ET Bronze 350W ATX12V V2.31 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Easy peasy install, old-fashioned design, lots of connectors - what else can I say?

Cons: It's an OEM unit, so no power cable and screws - of course! This PSU is for those of us that have all the ancillaries and know what to do already.

Other Thoughts: The perfect companion for my Pentium 3 1.4GHz Tualatin PC. Once again, all hail Seasonic!

5 out of 5 eggsIt's so quiet!

This review is from: SeaSonic 80 Plus SS-350ET Bronze 350W ATX12V V2.31 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Extremely reliable. I trust it can deliver rated wattage without blowing up, unlike cheaper PSUs. Good amount of sata and molex connectors.

Cons: Cables are a little short, doesn't have an 8 pin CPU or 6 pin video card connectors (this can be fixed with an adapter though).

Other Thoughts: Seasonic makes a great PSU. It's been powering my A10-5800K system with 3 HDs for the last 2 years, no problem.

4 out of 5 eggsIt's a power supply. It works well so far.

This review is from: SeaSonic 80 Plus SS-350ET Bronze 350W ATX12V V2.31 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: NO POWER CORD! NO POWER CORD!! NO POWER CORD!!!

*PROS* would be that it's a psu and provides power to the computer as it should. It does not teach you how to be a better human nor does it cook you dinner but it does give your computer the juice it needs to run and for that, it should be acknowledged.

I will not praise it for simply doing what it was designed to do.

Cons: NO POWER CORD! NO POWER CORD!! NO POWER CORD!!!

Now before you start screaming "BUT IT'S AN OEM PSU!" let me assure you, I knew this before buying. I also knew it did not have a power cable before I bought it.

The listing for the product does mention that it's OEM but given just how stupid most people are, they aren't going to automatically assume that means it doesn't come with a power cord. It should mention, in the listing, that unless you ALSO buy a power cord, you might as well not buy this PSU since, you know, it's virtually useless without one.

So the product loses one egg. NO FIVE EGGS FOR YOU! It would be extremely simple to either have the listing reflect the absence of a power cord or to, you know, actually include one of these extremely cheap power cords with their product. I don't know why it bothers me so much but dang nabbit, it does.

Other Thoughts: The PSU does what it's supposed to do and so far it's doing it well. It's not as pretty as some of the other PSU options out there but it's also jammed inside a box that, in most cases, prevents it from ever being seen.

Don't be that guy that stands in front of the mirror at the gym and adores himself. Just buy the best priced, highest rated PSU and get the job done.

oh... and don't forget to buy a power cord since this unit doesn't not come with one or even mention the fact that it does not come with one.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat mATX PSU - Quiet & Quality but short cables

This review is from: SeaSonic 80 Plus SS-350ET Bronze 350W ATX12V V2.31 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: I have been getting this power supply from another site... one that has auctions, and they are like-new, perhaps new system pulls, but sold as refurbished. I have bought 8 of them, and they have all been rock solid and QUIET. I have replaced several OEM (junk) Dell, HP, etc. PSU's with this one, and they have all worked great. And several people have commented about how much quieter their PCs are.

Cons: Don't buy this PSU for an ATX case. Don't buy this PSU if you want an 8-pin CPU plug. Don't buy this PSU to power a 6-pin video card.

Other Thoughts: For a basic home or office PC in an mATX case, and at the right price, this PSU is great.

4 out of 5 eggsNot bad

This review is from: SeaSonic 80 Plus SS-350ET Bronze 350W ATX12V V2.31 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: PSU worked as intended out of the box, and mostly had all the connections I needed

Cons: - Cables are on the short side
- This is mostly my fault, but the PSU didn't have six-pin connections for a video card

Other Thoughts: The computer is was used for is a rather basic setup, and the PSU suited the job just fine

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Basic PSU

This review is from: SeaSonic 80 Plus SS-350ET Bronze 350W ATX12V V2.31 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: 80 Plus Bronze
Low Wattage
Great Brand
Runs cool & quiet

Intel i3 System
Idle: 40 watts
Load: 70 watts

Cons: Just in case people may not know, it should state somewhere that as an OEM PSU it does not come with a power cord. This wasn't issue for me as I have plenty but others may not and it would be best if they knew ahead of their purchase.

Other Thoughts: As others have noted the cable lengths are a little on the short side, this mainly applies to bottom mounted PSU cases, if your case uses a top mount for the PSU everything should reach just fine.

5 out of 5 eggsGood OEM replacement PSU

This review is from: SeaSonic 80 Plus SS-350ET Bronze 350W ATX12V V2.31 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Cheap price, reliable

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I bought this power supply as replacement for my parents desktop. The old power supply died after around 8 years. Their pc is very old, so I didn't see the need in installing anything higher end. I had no issues during installation. The PSU is still going after nearly a year and a half (8/2013). If you're looking to replace a low wattage PSU, this one's a good choice.

5 out of 5 eggsGood oem replacement.

This review is from: SeaSonic 80 Plus SS-350ET Bronze 350W ATX12V V2.31 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Decent weight, easy to instal, and no hassles.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I purchased this to replace an old 250 watt oem psu in a Compaq desktop I'm using for old XP games. So far it's been running strong with no system stability issues or overheating problems.
