5 out of 5 eggsLove it

This review is from: SeaSonic M12II 750 SS-750AM2 750W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Full-modular Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Quality
Noise
Price
Reliability
Efficient

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: This thing is kinda big and bulky, comes with tons of accessories and spare cables, and the price was 75$ at the time. Hasn't sneezed a bit since purchase, and continues to deliver no matter what i throw at it.

2 out of 5 eggsHorrible fan noise

This review is from: SeaSonic M12II 750 SS-750AM2 750W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Full-modular Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: easy to hook up with full modular design.

Cons: The fan is SPASTIC! I thought i would go with a SeaSonic due to their reputation. It is coming out to put back in the 650 TX Corsair.

Other Thoughts: This would be a great PSU if not for the fan noise.

Manufacturer Response:

Hi Mark, sorry for the inconvenience. The fan can be loud if the system is running hotter than normal. If your system is running with proper cooling, then it is possible the fan control needs to be recalibrated. Please visit www.seasonicusa.com to start your RMA and they will sort this out for you as soon as possible. If you have any issues, please write to: newegg@seasonicus.com Thank You

5 out of 5 eggsGood PSU so far

This review is from: SeaSonic M12II 750 SS-750AM2 750W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Full-modular Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Pretty quiet operation
Modular at this price point
Reliable

Cons: Wish it was GOLD certified?
Wish the cables were color coded or labeled better

2 x 4-pin FDD connectors? Honestly who uses these anymore? waste of space in the cable bag.

Other Thoughts: Originally used in my gaming rig for about a year. Then I started adding components, and needs more wattage. I then used this PSU to power a HTPC that has now been running for over a year.

Good PSU, would buy again.

5 out of 5 eggsIT IS SEASONIC

This review is from: SeaSonic M12II 750 SS-750AM2 750W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Full-modular Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: It is another quality, quiet.PSU. I checked it before installing and have no problems. Easy install and plenty of power. Cablec length is good.

Cons: NONE

Other Thoughts: I always try to buy PSU s manufactured by Seasonic as I have never had 1 fail. Seasonic manufactures PSU s for other brands. Just check the number on the side with the specs.

Manufacturer Response:

Thank you Myron for the support and the very nice review! This is very much appreciated!!!

2 out of 5 eggsTerrible Fan + Support

This review is from: SeaSonic M12II 750 SS-750AM2 750W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Full-modular Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Excellent modular cable setup

Cons: Absolutely terrible fan - loud at idle and even louder at load

Other Thoughts: As another review(s) stated below, the fan on this thing is terrible! It was a big disappointment, as I had the computer all assembled and tidied up, with cable ties, etc., only to discover that the computer was unusable due to the fan noise! I could hear it across the house, in a separate room. It was loud at idle, then got even louder under load. I initially was confused what the source of the noise was, thinking it was the two GTX 780s or case fans, but low-and-behold it was this seasonic 750W PSU. The PSU was bottom mounted in a NZXT case, with plenty of gap between floor and PSU fan intake.

It was a shame, as I was really happy and impressed with the cabling. I had just what I needed, with room for growth. I will say that this was one of the best modular PSUs I have dealt with, in terms of cable selection, length, options, etc. Hopefully the RMA replacement or repaired unit works out, as it was a joy to work with the setup.

Oh, and regarding the RMA and tech-support. You just get an answering machine all day for their tech support, asking to send an email. I submit an RMA, and the approve it right away. So I am sending it back, though I would have like to discuss it with an engineer first. Oh well.

Manufacturer Response:

Hi John,
Our apologies for the inconvenience for the failure of the power supply and I hope our RMA process will soon rectify this issue for you. As for tech support, the best way to contact us is via e-mail as very often, phone tech support can offer very little assistant as the failure with the power supply cannot be fully determined unless the unit is tested by our service center. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me at newegg@seasonicus.com Thank You.

5 out of 5 eggsHonest Brand

This review is from: SeaSonic M12II 750 SS-750AM2 750W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Full-modular Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Seasonic is one of the very few honest to gosh actual manufacturer of PSUs, Has 5 yr warranty. My last one lasted 5 years and a few months. It is highly regulated and protects my PC from power surges and irregularities.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: why buy the products of fabless rebadging companies like Corsair when you can get the genuine article straight from the manufacturer? I bought a Corsair and had to return it because it wouldn't run my old AGP graphics card!

2 out of 5 eggsjust over a year

This review is from: SeaSonic M12II 750 SS-750AM2 750W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Full-modular Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Modular, fair price, steady power output. Easy to install and worked great for a year

Cons: I bought this on 4/4/2013, It died on 8/13/2014. First PSU to ever die on me like this. I researched a lot and every source was saying Seasonic was the best. Well I'm replacing it with a Rosewill now. I will not buy another Seasonic PSU. It should have lasted longer than 15 months.
