Power can be beautiful. That’s the premise behind the Aurora2 from Raidmax. This 600W PSU is wrapped in a 2-tone satin case with brushed aluminum accents. But the beauty has a purpose. The decorative Hexflo panels on the sides guarantee maximum airflow from the 120mm smart fan with blue LEDs mounted in the sculpted bottom panel. The fan automatically adjusts its speed depending on the temperature of the PSU’s components.

The Aurora2 delivers the power you need for today’s high performance systems. This all gets pushed through six SATA, four molex, two floppy and two PCIe connectors plus the standard 20+4 main and 4-pin SPU connectors.

  • newegg ATX12V and EPS12V Compatible Compatible with the ATX12V and EPS12V standards, the Raidmax RX-600F power supply provides maximum stable power to drive the latest Intel and AMD processors as well as other components for desktop and even sever computer systems.
  • newegg 600W Maximum Power A maximum power of 600W delivers safe, reliable output for high-end PC systems.
  • newegg Highly Efficient Delivering up to 80% efficiency, the Raidmax RX-600F power supply saves energy and may even reduce your electric bill!
  • newegg Smart Fan The 120mm blue LED smart fan automatically adjusts between three fan speed levels according to the PSU temperature for efficient cooling and minimized fan noise.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks just fine

Pros: Quiet, lightweight and so far, dependable.

Cons: Could use more SATA power leads, but you can always get a splitter.

Other Thoughts: Can't imagine anyone not liking this, unless they got a lemon. It can happen I suppose, but mine's been fine!
I'm happy!

1 out of 5 eggsQuality Power Supply HORRIBLE REBATE SERVICE

Pros: The power supply is fine. Not ultra quiet, but stable, and for those who like it, the blue light is cool I guess.

Cons: The rebate was the reason this item was purchased. The rebate company, rebatecenterinc.com has not once responded to any of my multiple E-mails sent to them, this is what I received from them.

YOUR REBATE STATUS : DISQUALIFY
DISQUALIFY BECAUSE: NO INVOICE BUT SALES ORDER

I sent them an invoice printed out from newegg's site. The lack of proper English makes me wonder where this company is located, I guarantee it's not in the US.

Other Thoughts: The product I'd give 4 or 5 eggs if it wasn't associated with this horrible non-existent rebate company.

2 out of 5 eggsWorked great for 14.5 months

Pros: * Has nice visual appeal.
* Runs cool and quiet
* Lots of connections and plenty of power

Cons: * Short lifespan
* A little troublesome to mount, not too bad though
* Massive amount of cords

Other Thoughts: I used this PS when I built my new computer last april.
Just 14 and a half months later it is dead. I've only ever had 1 power supply die on my before and that one was at least 3 years old. I paid $75 for this PS and I don't feel like it lived long enough to justify it's value. From day one its been plugged into a UPS, so it couldnt have been a power issue.

On a side note, I picked up a modular 700W PS by rocketfish to replace this one. It's a bit more expensive, but the modular PS is great at eliminating all of those unused cables and connectors. Especially useful in a windowed case.

5 out of 5 eggsworks great

Pros: PSU works great with 260gtx. Easy setup.

Cons: Screw holes did not line up with my case, but that's my fault for not paying attention.

Other Thoughts: I don't see where most people are having issues with this psu. It works great.

1 out of 5 eggsHorrible

Pros: Cheap

Cons: Started to smoke, shorted out my 40 GB Western Digital Raptor, and possibly other things.
Piece of junk that doesn't have enough amps on the 12V rail.
Cheaply made.
Always ran hot for the two months that I had it.

Other Thoughts: DON'T BUY THIS! I WISH I DIDN'T

4 out of 5 eggsDoes the Job

Pros: Powers my system without any trouble and gives me room to expand. Was able to fit it into my case without any trouble. PSU fan is quiet.

Cons: Was barely able to reach the CPU power cable to the motherboard connector, but that is more due to the case than the PSU. A number of the connectors were coupled on their cables, making it less flexible than I hoped.

Between this and my GPU LED, the blue glow on the wall behind the computer is almost comical.

Other Thoughts: System Specs
Mobo: ASUS P5Q Pro Turbo
CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9400 2.66 GHz
RAM: 4x2GB OCZ DDR2 1066
GPU: Sapphire Radeon HD 4850 512 MB 256-bit
HDD: WD Caviar Black 640 GB
Optical Drive: LG GGC-H20L Blu-Ray/HD-DVD Drive & DVD Burner
PSU: Raidmax Aurora 2 RX-600F
CPU Cooling: Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro
Case: Antec P182
OS: Windows 7 RC1 64-bit
