The Thermaltake Toughpower 1200W W0133RU is a high-end power supply unit ideal for advanced users who demand greater cooling and higher power for their systems. The Active Power Factor Corrector (Active PFC) helps the unit to deliver a stable 1200 Watts of continuous output (in 50? operating environment) with up to 87% efficiency. Four independent and dedicated +12V rails (12V1, 12V2, 12V3, 12V4) enhance power distribution and provide superior performance for your PC.
The Toughpower W0133RU is compatible with dual core CPU, quad core CPU, NVIDIA SLI, Quad SLI and ATI CrossFire technologies, with three 6-pin and three 8-pin (downward compatible with 6-pin PCI-E connectors) PCI-E connectors that allow connectivity to multiple graphic cards. The efficient Modularized Cable Management system eliminates wire clutter and enhances airflow for cooling. The 14 cm ball-bearing fan that reduces hot spots, offers excellent, quiet cooling
In addition, the Toughpower W0133RU uses industrial grade components with Independent Voltage Circuits for stable output and protection against potential voltage surges. Reliability is ensured with the MTBF of more than 120,000 hours, and it's virtually immune to over voltage, over current, and potential short-circuits.
Pros: excellent for two 8800 ultra, comes with four cable for SLI, this power supply always hungry for more, very stable. this thing worth every penny . i work with alot of PS daily and let me tell you nothing even come close to this one. im in love with this thing. ALSO ITS SUPER QUIET YOU CAN BARELY HEAR IT.
Cons: nothing really.
Other Thoughts: running Intel quad core overclocked to 3.6 1.5votls stable. thanks to this power supply and 6 hard drives, two 8800 ultra in sli and two dvd RW, two water cooling system , and much much more and still can handle much more. very powerful stable PS i recommend it to every gamer out there. it works great with EVGA 680I A1 SLI MB.

stellar power supply

Pros: i bought this power after reading that HardOCP gave this power supply the highest honor!! was using the OCZ ProXstream 1000W which was very loud and had low voltage output on their 12V rails. Toughpower is very quiet even under full load. The packaging is one of the most professional looking I've ever seen for Power Supply. Good job TT!!!!!
Cons: none...
Other Thoughts: one thing interesting was that the toughpower 1200W actually uses less electricity than the OCZ 1000W power supply on the same exact system! i guess the 87% efficiency does make a huge different in electricity cost :)

Pros: Excellent specs on box. Modular cabling system is a dream. Didn't nuke my board when it imploded. The spare cable bag is cool too, no more rummaging through drawers looking for the string of sata power connectors.
Cons: Like others here, this beast gave up under the load of my rig after 8 months. Also it is a little pricey.
The original receipt was lost and I got the typical response from Thermaltake's warranty department, that is that I "could buy another and rma the defective one with the new proof of purchase."
Brilliant Solution guys, let me fork over another $360! I don't recommend this if you are building a beast of a machine as it doesn't like 'spikey' power demands, oh or if you like talking to robots in the manufacturer's service department.
Other Thoughts: My system that has ate another Thermaltake product :( Asus Rampage II Extreme Mobo i7 940 OC'd 3.2 ghz 2x Sapphire Radeon HD 4870 X2s 2gb 512-bit 12gb 1600, Corsair DDR3 2x 300gb Velociraptors 1 TB WD 5x case fans 1 Blu-ray reader Dual HD 24 inch displays

This user purchased this item from Newegg
Pros: I went from a corsair hx1000w which cought fire piece of garbage, i upgraded to this one instead because the corsair was not sli certified, this one was, I require a lot of juice for my rig, running a quad q9550, evga 790i ultra sli mb, with a 3 way sli using 3x 280 gtx superclocked cards. I run 2x 1.5 tb drives, and 1x 300 gig velciraptor drive, aftermarket thermaltake v1 series cpu fan
This psu is wonderful, I have a lot of extra room to expand even more, its very power stable. I had a lot of problems with freezing, etc, when i changed to windows 7 i got a few random bluescreens here and there, now with this new psu, everything runs perfect!
The wires are nicely insulated as well, great for moving around the case's sharp edges and makes the system look very clean.
Cons: The only con I have about this psu is I run a thermaltake armor series full size case, and with the tri-sli, i cannot run the psu wires for the graphics cards around the back and into the cards, I am forced to run the cables along the drive rail and down to the cards then over. This is restricting a little bit of air flow, but nothing too drastic.
but overall I am very happy with the psu
Other Thoughts: I think that they should offer replacement cables of different lengths so that the wire managment would be a little better for larger cases. Espicically a case that the same company designed lol. Neon lighted fans would be nice also, I would put them in myself but I do not want to open the box and void the warrenty on it. Espicically after my corsair psu sparked and cought on fire =( btw the replacement when i get it will be on eebay soon lol , so if your lookin for it =)
