5 out of 5 eggsPowerhouse...

Pros: - Runs extremely quiet even under severe loads. I'll even say my heatsink drowns it out completely, and thats quiet.
- Plenty of power for your system to pull from, which also keeps you from worrying if you have enough.
- Feels very solid, and is so

Cons: - A little large and weighty, but it's to be expected. It still fits in my mid tower comfortably.

Other Thoughts: Even with the knowledge that I have and to remain unbiased, I will say that I like to go overboard on providing my systems with power. It's not running at peak capacity due to my rig not requiring the entirety of it.

1 out of 5 eggsFailed / dangerous

Pros: It was working good

Cons: I purchased 3 of these. The PSU failed on one so far. Made some loud sparks and pops.
I switch the power switch on the PSU to the off posistion and it appears to be directly connecting the neutral to the power cable. Which causes the fuse breaker to blow.

This seems pretty dangerous.

Other Thoughts: I hope this is a fluke.

Manufacturer Response:

We at Thermaltake apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused you. We can replace it under the warranty service. Please contact ttsupport@thermaltakeusa.com for RMA instruction.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat decision!

Pros: I went back and forth about which PS to get. Wattages...ratings... modular, etc. This thing is nice and surprisingly quiet, amp accurate, and has plenty more to give. Amazing price from newegg on sale.

Cons: Had to do rebate. I always try to avoid them...

3 out of 5 eggsBeware

Pros: Like someone speaking before the preview review High power, physical size, cable length, strong connections, 12V amperage.

Cons: I bought this Power supply to replace my old Thermaltake Toughpower 600W, and I have chosen this one because the dimensions provided, in Newegg site and Thermaltake site ; and for my surprise at time I mount this one in my armor Thermaltake VA8003BWS, This power supply is smaller in width and don’t fit in my Case. This forced me to make adjustments in my Case for use this power supply.
Newegg and Thermaltake said the dimensions of this one is 7.1”(L)x 5.9”(W)x 3.3”(H) and my old one have 6.3”(L) x 5.9”(W) x 3.3”(H) why I can’t fix screw in the right place in my case and power supply if the Width and Height is the same for both. Beware the accuracy of this data are wrong.and will give a lot of troubles.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid PSU

Pros: High power, physical size, cable length, strong connections, 12V amperage

Cons: Modular connections are hard to get clipped in, mounting holes were slightly off

Other Thoughts: The PSU produces solid stable voltages. The cables on this PSU are longer than most ive seen. For some reason there are 3 PCIe 8 to 6 adapters even though the two modular 8 pin cables are 6+2. The molex connections are nice and tight and have tabs to help with disconnection. Here are some additional specs...

Power Breakdown:
5 volt and 3.3 volt rails support 30A each, and a shared 175W. The 12V is split into 2 rails supporting 60A each and 1080W combined. The remaining wattage is on the negative rails

Cable Specs: [length]
Hardwired
1X 24 pin MB connector (not a 20+4 pin connector) [24”]
1x PCIe 6 pin [24”]
1x PCIe 8 pin [24”]
1x EPS 12V 8 pin + ATX 12v 4 pin [24”to 8 pin, 12” to 4 pin]
Modular
2x PCIe 6 pin [20”]
2x PCIe 6+2 pin [20”]
1x 4 molex [20” to first connection, 5.5” between connections]
1x 4 molex + 1 FDD [20” to first connection, 5.5” between connections]
2x 4 SATA [20” to first connection, 5.5” between connections]
Adapters
3x PCIe 8 pin
