3 out of 5 eggsDied after 3 days

This review is from: Thermaltake SMART Series SP-650PCBUS 650W ATX 12V 2.3 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Thermaltake SP-650PCBUS Power Supply

Pros: - Quiet
- Powerful
- Great price when on sale

Cons: - Died three days after install

Other Thoughts: Infant mortality rate is high with power supplies, apparently. No pop, no smoke... just dead. Returned for a refund. I'm using an EVGA now and have had no issues (yet).

This review is from: Thermaltake SMART Series SP-650PCBUS 650W ATX 12V 2.3 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Thermaltake SP-650PCBUS Power Supply

Pros: it powers the computer

Cons: after about 2 weeks the fan started running full force. it is so loud I will not even turn the computer on (second computer). I got an RMA for it but shipping would have been $18 so I'll just keep it and rig the fan...

5 out of 5 eggsGood PS

This review is from: Thermaltake SMART Series SP-650PCBUS 650W ATX 12V 2.3 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Thermaltake SP-650PCBUS Power Supply

Pros: Well constructed power supply. Has plenty long cords and all the right connectors for a well equipped PC.

Was a huge upgrade to the Dell sub-300 watt PS that came in the system. We put a GeForce 660 card in the system and it needed more juice. I've upgraded Dell Optiplex with other power supplies in the past and had issue with the case obstructing the side-release from opening, but didn't have that issue with this unit.

Cons: none so far.

Other Thoughts: Good value for the money.

4 out of 5 eggswork just fine...

This review is from: Thermaltake SMART Series SP-650PCBUS 650W ATX 12V 2.3 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Thermaltake SP-650PCBUS Power Supply

Pros: was not DOA. cables are long enough to stretch thru a Tower case. quiet and smells like fresh electronics...my other Thermaltake PSU that everyone complains about (tr-2 600w) is still alive after 5 years and that thing is cheaply made. this PSU has some weight and good components.....

Cons: there was a loose piece of plastic floating around inside (probably a cut-out for the fan air guide) BUT i know to check every PSU for something like that (i've seen the wire sleeves not trimmed and hitting the fan on fancier PSUs)

Other Thoughts: i mainly use Antec and sometimes Corsair PSUs...but for the price/watt range.... i rolled the dice and got a good PSU
