5 out of 5 eggsVERY SOLID

This review is from: Thermaltake SMART Series SP-750PCBUS 750W ATX 12V 2.3 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Very efficient. It does what it is supposed to and it definitely works!

Cons: None so far. The PSU is pretty much perfect! I will say though make sure you know what youre buying as this is a non modular PSU but thats not really a con.

Other Thoughts: I was PSU BSODing with a 600w Corsair mainly because I have a 4690k and a GTX770 lol this was just the upgrade I needed.

CPU: i5 4690k
GPU: PNY GTX770 4GB
120GB SSD
1TB WD Green
16GB 1600Mhz RAM

5 out of 5 eggsNice

This review is from: Thermaltake SMART Series SP-750PCBUS 750W ATX 12V 2.3 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Works well and works quietly

Cons: A bit "wirey" - I have a large ATX case and this fills most of the air at the bottom. - Note this "con" does NOT affect cooling system; it's not that bulky!

Other Thoughts: I went a bit OTT buying this one for my set up, but I recommend if you're unsure lower tier PSU will do the job.

3 out of 5 eggsDecent device, ripoff rebate

This review is from: Thermaltake SMART Series SP-750PCBUS 750W ATX 12V 2.3 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Works pretty much as specified

Cons: Rebate process is a rip-off. Mailing it in gets an email (if it isn't caught as spam), and then filling that out they want to pay to get it processed in less than 8 weeks. Then you get another email 10 weeks later wanting you to add detail (and pay to take less than 8 weeks!), but the online form doesn't match what I registered for the first time. Seems pretty clear they will find some excuse and never pay (it's been 10 weeks, and I mailed everything in in less than a week).

Manufacturer Response:

Dear customer,
We at Thermaltake apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused you. Please contact our customer service team for rebate related issues.

4 out of 5 eggsIt works

This review is from: Thermaltake SMART Series SP-750PCBUS 750W ATX 12V 2.3 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: It works
Never hear the fan
Lots of connectors

Cons: Cables are not the best selection, I got this because of a my crossfire setup, but a single cable is not able to reach both my cards at the same time, it could be that one card is shorter than the other, but I would rather see a bit more space anyways.
I did end up getting a bad PSU when I first got this, it was about 4 months after I got the unit that my computer was shutting down randomly, after running countless tests, it was shown that my PSU was causing the issue. But because of another company (TD) and the bad tech service and their screw ups, i had gotten my entire system rebuilt and my PSU was swapped out for the exact same model.

1 out of 5 eggsBlueScreens - BCCODE 124

This review is from: Thermaltake SMART Series SP-750PCBUS 750W ATX 12V 2.3 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Flat Cables make it easier to manage cables.

Cons: This PSU has been causing me blue screens where I've been troubleshooting the cause for almost 5 months now. I've finally just realized the power supply is to blame.

Other Thoughts: Buying new power supply. Not really considering going through their RMA service due to bad Rep.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,
We at Thermaltake apologize if you have received unsatisfactory customer service. We strive to help all customers to the best of our abilities. If there is an issue with your PSU, we would recommend contacting Customer Service who can help you through the RMA process.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Product

This review is from: Thermaltake SMART Series SP-750PCBUS 750W ATX 12V 2.3 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Has ran my setup with no complains for over a year now.

Cons: I would not trust this PSU to run 2 GPUs even though it has enough wattage for the task.

Other Thoughts: I can see this is a hit or miss PSU which I think is reasonable considering the cost to performance ratio.

5 out of 5 eggsNice

This review is from: Thermaltake SMART Series SP-750PCBUS 750W ATX 12V 2.3 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Smart fan control

Stable voltages and rails.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Normally I don't post any pictures, This PSU is very good. Look at this pic as a guide of how to hide and also guide flat ribbon cables. Of course modular is nice but a pro knows how to hide cables, going back to the 2000-2005 era before modular was popular. Nothing hard about it just look at your rig, examine your case, take the time to handle your cables and put close ribbons together.

1 out of 5 eggsDOA

This review is from: Thermaltake SMART Series SP-750PCBUS 750W ATX 12V 2.3 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Price.

Cons: Arrived DOA. Newegg RMAed it for me and I went back to Corsair.

Other Thoughts: Thermaltake used to make high quality parts but the last few times I have used them, I have been less than impressed. Now I'm paying a little more for much less headache.

5 out of 5 eggsGood PSU

This review is from: Thermaltake SMART Series SP-750PCBUS 750W ATX 12V 2.3 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Solid, quiet, nice cables, assists overall cooling nicely.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I disagree with the reviews about stiff/unmanagable cables. They have resistance but as thinner ribbon cables you have to expect that. They will still bunch nicely to hide in drive bays or to bundle together with ties/bands.
