4 out of 5 eggsweighs about 2 ounces

Pros: It moves air and runs cool. I've tried other top brands which are quieter and more wires , more expensive and run warm but this one you can hear see and feel the fan moving good amounts of air and the case and components stay cool. Powers everything and PCI card no problem.

Cons: None yet.

Other Thoughts: It is very light weight and I don't know how long it will last? The fan sounds like a fan , little higher rpm's than most I think , but I still can't hear it over my R7 260X. Keeps everything cool , I like it.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Cheap
Works beautifully

Cons: A con is a reason to not buy it. If you need a small power supply, there is no reason to not buy this one.

Other Thoughts: PSU went out in my old E5500. Picked up this one for 25$, it plugs right into the old slot and wham. Back from the dead. GJ COOLMAX.

1 out of 5 eggsRebate ripoff

Pros: It works and was cheap

Cons: Noisy and the rebate is apparently a ripoff.

Other Thoughts: I have been waiting almost 3 months for my rebate check and cannot get a reply to my inquiries. I usually do not buy items with rebates because most of th etime they are nothing but ripoffs but I trusted the Coolmax name, silly me.

1 out of 5 eggsHorrid PS

Pros: None

Cons: This power supply cannot produce anything close to 400 watts. I needed a cheap dirty power supply to use on a HP upgrade and the price made it look attractive. The MSI vidio needed 380 watts minimum. I had tried a 300 watt supply that out performed this one.
It is very lightly constructed and internal parts overrated. Thankfully it did not over voltage and fry the motherboard when it died. It simply shut down never to live again.

Even though it arrived in a sealed box on opening one could smell the burnt parts.

Other Thoughts: For breathing new life into a dead computer that does not require any more than 250 watts this supply is cheap and would probably be OK

2 out of 5 eggsCheaply made

Pros: Good price

Cons: It looks very cheap. The metal housing is thin and the wires are also very thin. There is only ONE SATA connector.

Other Thoughts: Ther are better PSUs on NewEgg.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Inexpensive

Pros: Simple, straightforward. Serves the purpose of bringing an old machine back to life.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I bumped an Egg as I'm used to PC-Power, Seasonic and other high-enders. I bought this for a friend to resurrect his machine and he wanted inexpensive.

1 out of 5 eggsToo scared to use it

Pros: It was a good price after rebate.

Cons: I bought two of these back in 2007 but am too scared to use them after reading all the bad reviews left after I purchased mine. I just can't risk smoked my motherboard.

I also do not believe the label that this supply is actually meets the Intel and AMD requirements considering the poor quality the actual customers are experiencing..

Other Thoughts: Stay away from CoolMax.

5 out of 5 eggs5 yrs

Pros: Solid 400 watt psu
Good cabling
sata and molex connectors

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: bought 11-05 at $19.99 with free shipping, 2 motherboard and 2 video card upgrades later it died. Was in wife's system typical internet usage, light gaming. I got my $'s worth.
