5 out of 5 eggsStill kicking after 7 years

Pros: Lasts forever
Does as described without an issue

Cons: not pretty?

Other Thoughts: I just bought a new one for my new pc build and decided to look up my old PSU. I didn't realize I could of just used this 7 year old beast! I bought this 3-15-2007.
87% efficiency is pretty good even for today I think that's silver rated?

5 out of 5 eggs6 years later

Pros: love the modular cables and the sleeves on cables. has all the power i need for a medium range gaming machine. havent had any issues. its running strong 6 years later.

Cons: cant think of any.

Other Thoughts: got this in early 2007 with my first computer build. over the past 6 years it has run almost continuously with no issues whatsoever. recently updated that machine with a new motherboard, processor, ram, and gfx card to bring it up to speed but the psu is running fine.

5 out of 5 eggsCoolmax 700w Power Suply

Pros: This power supply works perfect.

Cons: My case uses a bottom mount for the power supply and the CPU power cable barely reaches. But it is running over two video cards. other then that its great.

5 out of 5 eggsCouldn't ask for more

Pros: Sleek design, 120MM fan, customizable connectors

Cons: Cables are sheethed for protection but I've found them to be slippery, sometimes I have to tie them back to pin them inside the case otherwise they can slip out and block air-flow.
Can't say this is much of a con though as you can customize what cables or how many you require directly from the unit; unless there's such a thing as wireless power ;)

Other Thoughts: I bought this back in 2007 along with some other posters and suffice it to say they are dead on. It works, end of story, if you're troubleshooting you're overlooking this device because it's just solid. This purchase has greatly influenced my brand loyalty in the future. Though as an upgrade is looming, it's hard to say I should spend money on another PS as this one has yet to hint at failure; supported by other glowing reviews as well.

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Worked well for about 3.5 years.
I liked the connectors and cable setup.

Cons: Failed after 3.5 years. Just won't turn on anymore. Another supply brings up the system just fine.

Other Thoughts: The unit was on a 7kw UPS, as well as a power conditioner. No excuse for it to fail when the rest of the system is fine.

5 out of 5 eggs2007 July and on...

Pros: It hasn't broken, it has been quiet, it has had all the plugs and things it needed when it came, and it was my first custom built computer that I put it in.

After that the case had a revision in 2010 of a new motherboard, a new graphics card, new ram, new processor, and a new hard drive, and it still manages.

Sadly, I never really knew how much each thing uses, and I don't have any program that can test it to my knowledge, but I do know I plan to get a solid state, 6 extra gigs of DDR3 Vengeance ram, possibly a second hard drive, to add to my current TB Samsung, and finally a new disc drive. I'd probably be able to closely manage that, but the possibly of going SLI while not this year, does exist in the future (especially if I get a new case which I really want as I've had the same for close to 5 years) if I feel I need it.

That being said, this PSU has worked and ran perfectly with 0 glitches whatsoever.

Cons: Cons: Not as much plugs as I wanted, but over 4 years it is of course going to change. Everything fits one way or another though.

Other Thoughts: How am I going to choose the next power supply...

4 out of 5 eggsquality over cheap

Pros: worked fine. Not much to say it replaced a dead one, and it worked.

Cons: Had some issues size wise in older Lian li aluminum case. Was so tight had to install from inside, not a deal breaker but strange, were talking .010 inches basically. Mod cable where nice but I was disappointed there were not more cables than I needed. I wanted SATA leads and there was not enough.

Other Thoughts: fan control is lacking

2 out of 5 eggsMismatched unit with cables

Pros: nice power supply design it meet my power needs but read below....

Cons: box model CUG-700B (model of the unit has same model on it but..) box with cable inside stated 950w cable and power supply connections do not match the cables. main power connector would not connect to the unit. if you buy this look carefully at the layout of the power supplies connections and the cables that come with it. and try the main power connector see if will connect to the unit.

Other Thoughts: After I researched the customer support of coolmax I sent this back asap. they only have a email contact for the support I emailed them about this issue so far no reply about the mismatch issue. the first time I emailed them the did reply but that was a different issue. the manual did not match the connects on the power supply in the box.
