3 out of 5 eggsRe-review

Pros: Fits perfectly, does the job, quiet, fits all my needs and I only needed one adapter and it was for my GTX 660 Ti, which wasn't a problem at all.

Cons: The product is great, but the rebate service really sucks. It's difficult to navigate and it's been over a month and a half since I applied and they say they still haven't received it, despite my sending it out in the same manner as my gigabyte rebates and they have all come through already.
It's just poor service. At this rate I'm likely not even going to get my $20 rebate and that was really the main reason I bought it over its competition. Kinda feel cheated.

Other Thoughts: Aside from the lackluster service, the product works great so far. I already wrote a review right before this one, but I realized that it wasn't my power supply, but my CPU heatsink that was creating all of the noise. I only took an egg off of the other review for that reason. I am giving that egg back and saying it's a 5, but I'm taking two more off for the rebate fiasco.

4 out of 5 eggsPretty decent. More or less what I was expecting.

Pros: It fits appropriately, looks cool in my case, and does the job it was designed for.

Cons: It's louder than I expected, especially under duress.

1 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: none.

Cons: It's not really modular at all, DOA. Don't bother, should've listened to the reviews.

3 out of 5 eggsHORRIBLE TECH SUPPORT

Pros: Can handle a big load of power, it is modular and is very quiet.

Cons: None, read other thoughts

Other Thoughts: It was brought to my attention that I have received the wrong model after about a year of ownership. I noticed that the model I received has 2 RED PCI-E modular ports on the power supply. This model does not have 2, it has 1. The model I believe I received is CUL-850B which is not even sold on Newegg. In an effort to tell whether or not the model received will actually put out the right amount of power, I spoke with two people whom I could not understand. Both people had a hard time understanding me either and we got nowhere. I was told that they cannot look up the actual model number by using the serial number. The serial number is apparently nothing but a large manufactures date. The orginal purpose of a serial number was to find everything about that exact model in hand. I am not sure whether or not this power supply will actually put out 16A (or more) per RED PCI-E connector since I wasn't really helped by Coolmax's tech support. The only real way to find out: either burn out my card by trying, or return this and get another.

In my opinion, STAY AWAY FROM THIS BRAND! If your PSU ever fails, you will have to go through the horrible tech support I did to get a simple answer.

1 out of 5 eggsAwful

Pros: Cheap, Cool Blue LED

Cons: Failed after 1st month of use before I even received my rebate! Only a 135mm fan not a 140mm. Cables are short and hard to route in a full sized case. Instructions, website, and customer support poor. Not truly modular. Now have to go through RMA process with CoolMax and probably end up paying more shipping to get another faulty PSU. Pay another 20 bucks and get a proven brand.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat!

Pros: Super quiet, some-what modular, blue LED, many connectors, 750 watts!

Cons: Like many others have said, it is not fully modular but that isn't really a problem for me.

Other Thoughts: I went out on a limb when buying this as I had never heard of Coolmax. I am very satisfied with my first PSU from this brand.

I use my computer everyday and do gaming every now and then and have had no problems-- This PSU can definitely handle a large load.
