Cooler Master's Real Power Pro RS-650-ACAA-A1 PSU is designed with the power user in mind. This 80 Plus certified unit has a rated continuous output capacity of 650W with a max peak output of 780W. Not only is it a SLI certified unit, it is also compliant with ATX 12V v2.3 and EPS 12V v2.91.
The 24-pin motherboard connector is backed up by both a 4-pin and an 8-pin CPU connector. There are 5 Molex and 6 SATA connectors for drives and other peripherals. The 2 PCIe connectors have bead core protection to minimize EMI and electrical noise. A floppy drive connector is included, just in case you need one.
Keeping everything cools is a 120mm fan with an automatic speed control. The back panel is a honeycomb mesh for unrestricted air flow. The combination results in a low noise rating of only 17dBA.

Good PSU
- Pros: Cabling is nice and tidy. This thing is a haus for a 650 it runs a Core2quad, EVGA 8800GTX, 2 Raptor Xs, SATA DVDRW, 2x2GB sticks of DDR2, EVGA 680i, and 7(yes 7) 120mm case fans with absolutely no problems under full load. Easy disconnect apparatus on the molex's is really handy.
- Cons: Only 1 fan but at least it's big.
- Other Thoughts: Paying out the wazoo for 1000+W PSUs is absolutly rediculous unless you actually need all of that power for SLI and 10 15k rpm HDDs or something. Use an online pwr calculator and quit wasting money on a silly trend.
Great Value
- Pros: Looks great and is rock solid. the 80% plus efficiancy is nice and makes it preform more like a higher rated PSU. Right now is it powering dual 8800gts's 4 WD 2500ks, and 2 LG DVD super multi drives, no problem.
- Cons: None
- Other Thoughts: efficiancy is the key when buying power supplies. if you buy a good one you dont need as many watts to power your rig. just keep that in mind as you look at some of the 850+ watt PSU's.

- Pros: it started out great, lots of power, no problems
- Cons: after about 4 months a few of the rails stopped working randomly, i noticed some of my case fans not working anymore....figured it was just cheap fans. but after about 9 months the whole thing died, and it took the motherboard with it. had to replace both...and my case fans are working again now.
Excellent, proven performance all around in a slightly cheap package
- Pros: Very good efficiency, low heat, low noise and excellent voltage regulation (you know, it like, doesn't send, like, electricity spikes to your parts in your box and fry them) Attractive and solid housing. Good length cables. Excellent performance all around and stands up under full load - Try googling some real power supply reviews of it and see what I mean.
- Cons: Overall build quality is average. Cables/connectors are cheap and not modular. Doesn't have a BLU light! :) Costs way more now than I got it for.
- Other Thoughts: Check out a real review of this thing from awhile ago on hardocp dot com (The 750w is exactly the same, just rated higher). The thing under FULL load holds up and holds up well.
In late '08 an Axxxc supply (hundred and twenty dollar one not quite a year old) died and I was just going to buy what looked like a good value at the big B&M retail store. I stumbled upon it and happened to get it for seventy bucks with no rebate! Had no idea what I was getting at the time but I figured I was getting a totally average quality PSU for what I paid and how much "good" PSU's are. I am truly surprised to see well into the triple digits online. It's still EASILY worth three figures with it's actual excellent performance.
The problem is that at the hundred twenty price point there are others with better/modular cables and also excellent performance. For seventy, it was a freaking steal for me! :)
If you DO see the Real Power Pro line at a low price, it's definitely a bargain and grab one!
Nice PS
- Pros: I own 2 of these power supplies, I grabbed them at a far lower price than they currently are. Works great on my Core2 and on my i7 setup. Cables are nicely wrapped in black mesh. Runs my system with HD4870, 4 HDs, and Quadcore Core2 easily. 80plus certified
- Cons: Non modular cables
