1 out of 5 eggsworst PSU ever

Pros: none, absolutely NONE

Cons: When I got this PSU in December, it smelled like burn, when I put it in, it took my GIGABYTE DS3 motherboard and my Intel e6300 with it and some how it fried itself
what the hell?
I tried to jump start it with a paper clip, than I even tried to buy a pre made jump starter from a different website, and it still didnt work, I can honestly say this is the worst PSU I have ever used
I took this to a computer shop, got charged xx amount of money for inspection and they (people @ store) told me the capacitor was busted.

Other Thoughts: if your's smells burned, DONT PLUG IT IN
but also dont get confused from the "oh cripes its burned smell" and the new smell.
DO NOT GET THIS POWER SUPPLY, THE POWER SUPPLY IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART IN THE PC, DONT CHEAP OUT ON IT IF ITS A HIGH END PC, get a nice O** or something along those lines from a well known company
and also get this, I called HIPRO and they never picked up, I called and after like 20 rings, I put the phone on my bed for me check out later, came back about 40 minutes later, and for some reason it was STILL RINGING

5 out of 5 eggsgreat psu

Pros: How can you tell a good psu? When u have a hot running p4 overclocked to 4.1ghz on stability test and the air blows out not hot! Check any good Silver.. psu they blow cool air. Check any cr@py oc.. psu and very hot air blows out on idle. Psss do not tell anyone about these psu's they all sold out!

Cons: Only one pci-x but you can use the 4 pin to make another no biggy!

Other Thoughts: Nice cable wrap on the main atx line. Wires pretwisted when drawn togher with ties nice looking. No unflexable modules like oc.. - i just pulled that one out. I know Hipro is good stuff i had one in Hp that ran for 5 yrs. If you need to cut cost this is best psu for a single gpu system i have hooked up 7950gx2 and x1900xt's with out problems.

5 out of 5 eggsHiPRO 600w PSU

Pros: Stable. With voltage monitors, I only notice <2% voltage fluxuations while gaming, or with CPU-intensive tasks. Three 12v rails. All rails are a small bit above the stated voltages (12.07, 3.36, 5.04). Never drops below advertised values. Open air design allows good flow and exhausts heat. Blue LED fan is nice (just not in my green case).

Cons: Cables aren't fully sleeved. A bit longer than typical PSUs.

Other Thoughts: This unit is quite weighty. Compare it with your stock crapola $20 PSU. You'll definitely see the difference.

5 out of 5 eggsFor 69.95 whats not to like?

Pros: Three year Enermax burnt out so I was on the hunt for something that would eventually outlive my ASUS P4C800-E. Looked at Enermax again, BFG and others. Tried the BFG - very nice by also very expensive. Found the HIPRO. First it has Active PFC which for this price is a steal. Rails seem pretty stable - some MINOR flux all below 1%. Pretty constant at about 12.22,5.134,3.392, and vcore of 1.6. Similar to BFG and the Antec HE550 that I tried in this machine.

Cons: Cables not sleeved for the drives. Wish the drive cables had more connectors. Wish the unit had a fan monitor - although most don't except for Enermax and I think Coolermast.

Other Thoughts: Single 120mm fan, generic design. Blue fan light seems quiet.

Ordered on Wenesday and received on THURSDAY! Added the 2.99 for expedited processing. Pretty amazing shipping (Tenn to Missouri)

5 out of 5 eggsGREAT PSU

Pros: With PFC active and 600 watt, why not? Love the PSU, it's to replace my old Raid 420 watt PSU. So far no problem with unit works fine with my mobo, 2 optical drives, 2 HD, six fans (not including cpu fan)and my AGP 8x 256MB Geforce 7600GS along with 1 gig of RAM. I know, I know, my system aint all that but, having extra power is better, LOL) BUY IT FOR THE PFC active!

Cons: Alot of wires but don't really mind it though. Don't know why my didin't came with orginal packaging but wraped up in buble wraps.

Other Thoughts: Umm.... make sure you know if it will fit into your case. ATX!

5 out of 5 eggsGood Deal

Pros: Excellent PSU. Hasn't dropped my power or given me a dirty connection.

Cons: Not all the cables are wrapped as I would have liked it - but at this price, doesn't matter.

Other Thoughts: I couldn't believe that I could buy this at the price I did. Also, the blue LEDs inside was kinda unexpected.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent PSU!

Pros: Fit right into my rig (PowMax Demon IV case w/ P5VMX-800 Mobo) and runs very efficiently. More than enough power to run everything and then some. Not a bad price, either

Cons: I found out that having this and a 120 CPU Fan can be quite annoying to install, so make sure you have more than enough room to install both. The cabling also tends to become overwhelming, but that is to be expected.

Other Thoughts: Overall, I am very happy with this particular PSU. It keeps with the recommended voltages well (according to my temp gauge readers) without much fluctuations. A great buy if you're in need of a PSU replacement.

5 out of 5 eggsOne minor problem, No biggie.

Pros: Runs stable, nice steady rails and the active pfc isn't bad either. Great, no cons.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I didn't really trust this manufacturer, and the high performance claim for such a low price seemed fishy. Not true. Rock solid PSU, nice and heavy as well.

The only minor complaint I had (not worth calling it a con) is that the PCIE plug doesn't fully clip on to my eVGA. I don't know if thats the Hipro's problem or eVGA's -- It doesn't make a difference to me as long as the power gets where it's going. The tab on the clip is too thick and doesn't let the corresponding tab on the card's connector fully "click" with it. If you have a high vibration setup going, I guess after a few *years* this might come out, but I sincerely doubt it.
