5 out of 5 eggsStill Using Since 2008

Pros: Bought this for myself in 2008 and eventually game it to a friend when I upgraded. It's still working for him. He runs a GTX 650Ti and it works perfect! Pretty amazing. Good job Rosewill.

5 out of 5 eggs2058 Days

Pros: - It lasted 5 years, 7 months, 19 days (2058 days)
- Got abused in the last year due to kids leaving the computer on all the time.
- Cool blue fan
- Had enough cables to run peripherals

Cons: - Ran loud
- Not Modular
- Not all cables in Mesh Sleeve
- Not Free

Other Thoughts: Solid buy, I knew when I purchased it that it was not modular and that not all the cables were in mesh sleeve. I had to right some cons. What can I say it met my expectations and exceeded the warranty, what more could you ask for.

5 out of 5 eggsImpressive

Pros: I've owned this thing for 7 years now and it still works great. It started with an AMD 3000+ and now is running an OC'd 2500k, 4 hard drives and a 6870 without any complaints.

Cons: I mean its 7 years old, I really would like some sata power connectors and another 6 pin for graphics.

5 out of 5 eggsThanks for the memories!

Pros: When I bought this in April 2009 it was exactly what I needed for my system. Never had a problem with it; the light was nice, the fan was quiet.

Cons: 3 years later, it's starting to not be enough. My old 8800 GT blew, so I picked up an EVGA GTX 550 Ti, which requires at least 24A on the 12V rail.

Other Thoughts: Going to upgrade to a new PSU soon, and I'm looking at the CORSAIR Gaming Series GS800 800W for some future expansion wiggle room.

3 out of 5 eggsDied after nearly 3 years

Pros: Good looking, easy to hook up. Plenty of long cable in my large mid-case. Decent power rating

Cons: Died after 3 years, which is dismal to some oem power supplies that I have had that have lasted me much longer than that. My server (gateway pc) has its original PS, and has been rocking a 9800GTX+ card since I got it, and it has been running faithfully since 2004. For the last 2 weeks, I have been noticing a lot more blue screens on my pc. I started checking out the voltages with multimeter and noticed that when idling, the 12V rail was down to about 11.85 (which is OK according to specs), however when I started to play games, the voltage would keep dropping and starting to settle at about 11.25 volts. This is not acceptable. Last night, when I tried booting up my computer, it said that it was unable to find the partition on my hard drive (unknown if related to PS issue), started to re-install windows and she gave out about half-way through the installation. Computer completely shut down and was unable to get her going again. RIP Rosewill PSU.

Other Thoughts: Good PSU, would not buy this one again. Very dissappointed that it did not last longer than 2-3 years.

4 out of 5 eggsWhat a trooper

Pros: I can't believe it took so long to die. I had this little guy rocking 3 hard drives 2 dvd drives a Q6600 CPU an MSI P7N Platinum mobo and a pair of 8600GT cards in sli. The thing that put it in the ground was changing over to a N465GTX card. I didn't expect it to last too long with that monster of a video card, but this PSU is a trooper. It chugged along for 2 months of pure abuse after serving faithfully for a little more than 3 years prior use.

Cons: Cables weren't modular.

Other Thoughts: I almost cried when this little guy went poof. Almost like losing a cat or something of that sort. I ended up buying an Antec to replace it.

Cons: Semi loud, but not enough to whine about.

Other Thoughts: I put it in a Ubuntu system and powered my old amd board. 0 Issues.

1 out of 5 eggsLasted about one minute

Pros: None. If a PSU fails within one minute any other features are null and void.

Cons: Powered up PC. Booted to XP desktop. Got a warning indicating that a USB port was under/over voltage. Fifteen seconds later the PC shutdown. PC would do nothing from that point on. Had to RMA.

Other Thoughts: Will definately not consider this brand again.

Manufacturer Response:

5 out of 5 eggsAnother great PSU

Pros: 2nd purchased PSU from Rosewill, first was great and this one continues the charge, plenty of power attachments, length was all fine and cables were flexible enough to store unused ones in a tidy bundle.

Cons: None, expect a long life from this PSU

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: -Powers my components nicely.
-Fan runs almost silent on low.
-LEDS give my case a subtle glow.
-EXCELLENT reliability.

Cons: -Fan is loud when running on the highest setting.
-LEDs arn't a true blue (greenish blue to me).

These factors do not affect me whatsoever.

Other Thoughts: I've owned this PSU for nearly 3 years (bought it in Nov. 2006) and I have had no problems with it, ever. It powers all my components flawlessly. I wish all cables had sleeves (Cable sleeve is only on the main ATX connector) but I knew this before I purchased it. Great buy for those building a budget to moderate gaming computer! Thanks Newegg!
