Pros: Compact, good price, sleek looks. When it all works together, it is great.

Cons: Although I've purchased several of these over the years, the quality of the case has dropped severely. Had issues getting hdd into the case, and once I did, screws did not line up properly (in some instances wouldn't even fit), and one stripped with minimal tightening. I don't think I'm going to be able to get my drive back out of this case. LED on front has failed to light up (which could be because the case isn't held together by the screws 100%).

Other Thoughts: I have bought these cases previously, and they worked great. I'm afraid that the manufacturer is trying to cut costs by not making sure all parts of the case line up, screws fit, etc. I actually bought two cases this go around, and I'm a little nervous to try out the second one in case it tries to consume another drive and not let it go as well.

Pros: Is a HDD enclosure, works with Windows perfectly

Cons: Rosewill cheaped out on the size of the unit making it near impossible to put in, then it REFUSES to let the HDD go. I'm going to have to surgically remove the HDD currently stuck in it.

Pros: Pretty nice enclosure

Cons: Underside of drive faces up. annoying.

Pros: Very simple & easy to install drive in

Cons: Snug fit, screws in the back seem a big off but they do work.

Pros: Works as anticipated

Other Thoughts: Overall I think this is a great product, but I did get a lemon. I purchased 2 bays and initially the LED didn't work on one of them. Rather than go through the hassle of an RMA I decided I didn't care if the light didn't work. However, when I started using both drives together I started noticing issues with the un-lit one. Specifically, it would just stop serving up my files. The drive would still be mounted, but it wouldn't report the existence of files after being mounted for a while. A remount would restore functionality, but that's annoying.

As for the second one I bought, works great. Not much else to say, it's a hard drive enclosure. If it works great it should pretty much just be something that stays out of your way.

As for a replacement, my enclosures are now more than 3 months old, so I was curious how it would go. However, after a single call to Rosewill with no waiting on hold I am expecting my replacement in 3 days. Receiving broken hardware these days is unfortunately pretty common, so with service like this I ultimately have no complaints.

Pros: sleek heavy duty feel

Cons: you will never get your hard drive out ever. it's so incredibly tight I had to push with both hands to get it in. I also couldn't use all of the screws either :(

Pros: Drive works when Directly plugged into Western Digital TV and Computer

Cons: Linksys E4200 won't recognize the drive so I can share it across the network My older enclosure gets recognized just fine just not this new one im sure it has something to do with the drives power state just not sure how to fix the issue

Other Thoughts: If u want to use this drive as External network storage it won't work outta the box

Cons: I used this enclosure with a 1tb Samsung hard drive, worked good the first day, but after copying some files I unplugged it and the following day Windows XP didn't recognize the hard drive: "unknown device". I put the hard drive back in my computer and worked great as always.

Other Thoughts: I requested a RMA but is not worth the hassle to return it since I paid 16 bucks for the enclosure and the shipping to send back the package is 12.

Pros: Excellent case. Good design, good quality, good workmanship, except ...

Cons: I've purchased 5 of these cases (3 IDE-to-USB and 2 SATA-to-USB). But this one is defective. The drive simply won't fit into the case!!!! Oh well. I guess I can use the electronics without the case. Shipping costs make RMA'ing it impractical.

Pros: Long lasting, easy setup, solid build.

Other Thoughts: I have another drive to turn into an external and I was pleased to see this item still available. I think the build is solid enough and four years without a glitch is praise enough. I have plugged this unit into just about everything with a USB port and it always pops up, no problems ever. Basic disk manager will make setup a breeze, instructions are pretty clear.
