USB devices have become so popular that it's easy to fill all of your ports and still need more. This seven port self-powered hub from Rosewill can help.

As we get more stuff on our desk, it helps if it looks good and doesn't have a large “footprint”. This vertically standing hub accomplishes both. It comes with its own 5V, 2Amp DC adapter so your computer doesn't need to provide the power, and it is both USB 2.0 and 1.1 compatible. To keep your peripherals safe, it also protects against over-current conditions. It uses a mini Type B input connector (cable included) and has seven Type A output connectors.

If you're running out of sockets for your USB peripherals, then you definitely ought to take a look at this hub. It just might be the answer to all your problems. Well, the USB problems, at least.

1 out of 5 eggsGood and bad

This review is from: Rosewill RHB-320R 7 Ports USB 2.0 Hub with Power Adapter

Pros: Great layout with the 7 ports. i like how its independently powered as well

Cons: Problem: No apple products (iphones etc) even with several cords or phones would ever charge when plugged in. Had to set up a return

1 out of 5 eggsJust doesn't work

This review is from: Rosewill RHB-320R 7 Ports USB 2.0 Hub with Power Adapter

Pros: None

Cons: Didn't work out of the box. It's a powered USB hub. No magic here. Just plug it in to USB and the wall for power, and it should work. Constantly giving me the "Unrecognized USB Device" error when hub plugged in. Then anything plugged into the hub wouldn't work. Fully updated Windows 7 in case there was some update for compatibility reasons. Nope, nothing worked. This is my second Rosewill product I got for myself, and the 2nd one that didn't work out of the box. Never again!

Other Thoughts: Newegg is good as usual. But Rosewill as a company is not one I will trust with any future hardware purchases. I have been IT for over 15 years, so I well know what I should look for in a quality product.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Great!

This review is from: Rosewill RHB-320R 7 Ports USB 2.0 Hub with Power Adapter

Pros: Works as intended!
Very solid still in its 3rd year.
I'm using it with a Macbook Pro and have all my keyboards, mouse, and accessories connected to it.
For music people, this also works with iLok and Vienna Key.

Cons: None.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat product and cheap!

This review is from: Rosewill RHB-320R 7 Ports USB 2.0 Hub with Power Adapter

Pros: 7 ports and all of them work, has power so don't have to worry about what you plug into it, good switching with USBs, looks awesome! Overall great product.

Cons: Had to take the batteries out of my Logitech Wireless game controllers because the hub is always on, so my controllers were always getting a signal. But that's more of a Con for the controllers for not having an off switch :-p

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing little hug

This review is from: Rosewill RHB-320R 7 Ports USB 2.0 Hub with Power Adapter

Pros: Seven Ports for $15-20!!!! (depends if it's on sale or if you use coupons or not). Included power adapter (these usually make the units go for $28+) and uses mini usb data cable. It's somewhat sturdy, but doesn't grip on the table (nor is it heavy), so any tug will drag the unit. There's also reliable rosewill service (better than some other brands). Also charges devices with power adapter when computer is of. It's able to charge two devices at one time and can probably do more, but i haven't found the need to test that out yet. One final pro is that there's one rear usb port (next to power and data ports) to organize your connection if it's on the table.

Cons: Because the adapter sucks power constantly, it would charge usb devices and add to your electric bill. This may also be bad for your external hard drives, since they will continue spinning even with your PC off due to the extra power. Please plug in your devices accordingly.

Other Thoughts: I've used this device for more than a year. The data cable comes at a fairly length. Lets hope this unit lasts longer than that.

One minor con is that sometimes the hub won't be recognized when connected the front usb port of my pc. It's really sporadic and happens once every few weeks. It's probably just me or the device is showing that it's aging. Either way, i'm just letting you all know. (Tip: Rear USB ports on your PC provide more power than the ones in the front, so i recommend you to connect your more power-hungry devices there, such as external hard drives).

5 out of 5 eggsWorth every dime !

This review is from: Rosewill RHB-320R 7 Ports USB 2.0 Hub with Power Adapter

Pros: This is the fourth Rosewill hub I've owned, all but one are currently in use. (One, a USB 3 platter hob, is working but the downstream connector is broken) This model is the best USB 2 Hub I've ever encountered. I like the weighted base and clean design. I use these on my I7/1156 Sabertooth rig. The two give me 14 connections and don't crowd my desktop with hardware. I plan to add another soon. Between eternal drives, wireless devices and network adaptors etc I never would not be without them. I love the fact that they stay where they are put and don't wind up falling off the desk. If you want a real value in hubs, GET THIS GUY !

Cons: None at all except I wish there was a 14 port version. And I wish they made a USB 3 version of the same design.

Other Thoughts: I also wish Rosewill could get me a downstream connector for my USB 3 Platter.

5 out of 5 eggsIt works!

This review is from: Rosewill RHB-320R 7 Ports USB 2.0 Hub with Power Adapter

Pros: It works. A lot of ports (more than I'll probably need).

Cons: None comparatively. See other thoughts.

Other Thoughts: It has the same issue that all of the hubs I've used have. Unless they put lead in the bottom or provide a way to screw it to the desk, the connected cables are going to move the hub around easily. I typically end of taping the cable from the PC to the desk to provide stability.
