Pros: Got this with a HDD purchase. Was skeptical at first, but after over a year it still works. I use it from constantly for months to weeks without any use. Never had an issue with a HDD or laptop drive not working.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: I noticed that the price is now 34.99 I think that is too much, I got mine over a year ago for for a lot less. Its practical but now worth 34.99.

Pros: Works great if USB 2 speeds are what you need.

Cons: Power supply dies.

Pros: Works well. I used it with three different hard drives I had laying around and it works really good.

Cons: Not as fast as I'd like but, it sure beats having to yank drives out of your computer just to see what's on a drive.

2 out of 5 eggsCan't Eject Drives via

Pros: Accepts 2.5 & 3.5 drives.
Data transfer rate OK.

Cons: Can't get Windows to 'eject' the drive - 99% of the time get a message that something is accessing the device and that I must close it first before eject the Rosewill connect drive.
This is true when using it on different computers and when using different drives.

I don't have this problem with my external HD enclosures (such as Vantec), USB thumbdrives, etc.

If you've ever had a file corrupted on an external drive or thumb drive because you disconnected it without successfully ejecting first then you understand my concern.

Other Thoughts: Since I don't see a lot of similar complaints maybe I just got a bad one...

Pros: Was Perfect for when I transferred information from my old desktop and my old laptop to my new rigs (fits desktop and laptop size drives!)

Cons: People complain that the drive dies around a couple months, I have had it for this long and it has not died yet. No con from me.

Pros: Transferred over 1TB across multiple drives. Used 2 3.0gb/s sata drives and 1 6.0gb/s SSD in dock.

Cons: None so far.

Pros: Salvaged files from my girlfriend's dead laptop's 1.5" hd.
Currently using it with an old 3.5" Samsung hd as an external drive for our modded Wii. Working Perfectly so far!

Cons: Price seems to have gone up since I bought it. Finding the best value on this type of thing is important.

Pros: Great customer service from company.

Cons: Reliability.

Other Thoughts: Call it bad luck or not, I received TWO duds from NewEgg after purchasing ONE unit and both with the same problem.

Every hard drive I tried (and I have three, one 3.5", the others 2.5") would not appear in "My Computer" even though the RX-DU100 is recognized after I plugged it in. Should have been plug and play stuff really, I mean, come on!? It shouldn't be THAT hard for me to use my hard drives.

I would go about this device with caution. The service is great (after all they gave me another unit for free) but reliability... it's a gamble.

Pros: Easy to use and did everything I wanted it to...while it worked.

Cons: Died after just over 1 month.

Other Thoughts: Newegg has been good about replacements for me in the past so I'm going to hope I can get an RMA for this.

5 out of 5 eggsSAVED MY LIFE

Pros: So had a windows XP system BSOD, system32 folder was corrupted, repair kept failing and need the data from the HDD. Plugged this baby in a 5 seconds later was able to access the drive on my Windows 7 system. Pulled the data off no problem. Did same for the other 4 drives from the failed system. Life saver.

Actual Data transfer rates of 26.1MB/s - Goes pretty steady at that rate.

Cons: Can't make me a cup of coffee.
