4 out of 5 eggsGood Product, Bad Customer Service

Pros: Great Product, love the modular cords, so clean.

Cons: I may have pushed it too hard, it died. Took about 2 months with customer service. Their email was having problems, maybe someone left the company that I was talking with, but it took a long time with many follow ups on my part.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent PSU

Pros: This has been a great, reliable power supply. Being modular, cable management it so much easier than with a standard unit. Also, it is dead quiet.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I bought one a couple of years ago and it has never let me down.
Get it for being modular if nothing else.

5 out of 5 eggsNice PSU

Pros: great PSU, with plenty of cables, and cable length.

The ability to choose and use the cables that you need as extras is great.

Very quiet, I actually never once heard a single noise out of this thing. The fan blows nice and fast for as quiet as it is, and the fact it is a 140mm is really nice also, because really it can count as a secondary exhaust in the back.

Cons: None, other than its only a 550 and cannot handle some of the larger video cards that are out today.

Other Thoughts: I actually just sold this one to my friend, and purchased another 700 watt PSU because I upgraded my video card. And now I realize that the cable management system in this PSU is so amazing.

I would recommend this PSU to every person that uses a video card around the 9800GTX+, or the 4850, but anything after that, I would recommend a larger PSU.

3 out of 5 eggsAn OK PSU

Pros: Worked great so far.

Cons: Annoying humming noise when the PC is OFF and the powerstrip is ON.

Other Thoughts: This PSU has a problem is hissing/humming noise due to a bad transformer or something inside. If you keep the computer in a bedroom, do nto buy this.

5 out of 5 eggsTOP OF THE LINE PSU

Pros: Handles my 2 HD's, 2 GPU's, Q6600 QUAD CPU, 5 x 120mm fans.
Looks very nice, shiny black, net sleeving, modular, active pfc, 550 Watts of continous power and manufacturer tested life of 100,000K hours (11.4 years)

Cons: At night when the environment is absolutely quiet, I noticed a very low humming noise when the computer is OFF and the power supply switch stays ON. It is normal behavior according to XCLIO, to solve it switch it OFF and then back ON and it will stop. It is normal!

Other Thoughts: Running:
2 4890 gpu's with no problem.
2 SATA HD
1 OPTICAL Drive
CORE 2 QUAD Q6600
5 120mm Fans

5 out of 5 eggsRock solid

Pros: I bought this PSU in March of 2007 for ninety bucks. Its value hasn't dropped much from what I see.
This PSU has been rock solid since day one.
Ran ATI HD3870 in crossfire. Ran a single ATI HD4890 and now waiting for the second one to crossfire...
Very good PSU, in my experience.

Cons: A few months ago I started noticing a soft electrical hissing sound while the computer is off coming from the power supply, I can only hear it at night when I'm about to go to sleep, so I go and switch it off in the back. No big deal, must be a vibrating component due to current passing through it.

Other Thoughts: I have ran crossfire ATI HD3870's, single ATI HD4890... going to crossfire soon. Nice black finish!
