5 out of 5 eggs24/7

Pros: Price

Cons: non

Other Thoughts: I have it in a computer working 24/7, it has been two weeks now and i have to say i have not have any issues with it, like always, having proper ventilation with PCs is the key, remember heat will damage anything in a pc

1 out of 5 eggsJunk

Pros: Ordered two, neither were DOA. That's the best thing I have to say about these power supplies.

Cons: Absolute junk. I would be surprised if these could output more than 400w before overheating and shutting off.

1 out of 5 eggsDOA on arrival & NEWEGG STUCK ME WITH IT, BEWARE

Pros: Since it never powered on once I am unable to give pros to a DOA product.

Cons: PSU came DOA. Plugged into motherboard, got nothing. Then tried three different power supply testers to make sure it was bad and each tester said the power supply was dead, dead on arrival. I Have spent last 15 days trying to get someone at Newegg to help me, They keep sending me back to the fact and question section. I have tried for days to get someone to talk on the live chat thing but all it does is spin and say wait for help for hours.

Other Thoughts: I wish I would have listened to other people when they told me to never order a power supply from newegg because this isn't the first time this has happened. Especially when it comes to power supplies from what I've read they really never get back to people who get bad PSU units. The part that really gets me, I originally ordered everything to build one awesome computer. The first problem I had is that the ram I ordered wasn't in the box and I had to wait an extra week for them to send it to me. That was taken care of by a nice lady via email. But ever since I've told them even the same lady who helped me with the ram about the DOA XION 700 watt power supply they have treated me like I never spent almost a $1,000 at their website. I build hundreds of computers a year and usually order all my hardware from the big easy bay or that other place named after the jungle. I decided to use Newegg for the first time because of the combo deals they have that save a lot of money. I got my i5 4670k Haswell CPU and a Gigabyte motherboard that sells for $250 for $350 for the two. Normally just the CPU alone cost $370 so I really did get one killer deal on that combo, but that doesn't mean I should get a bad deal on the other items I bought. I would rather have paid the full amount and have gotten quality items now that I think about it.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear User, we apologied for the problem happened. Pls contact XION service direct to get a replacemnet @19095982600 or visit www.xionusa.com. Tks

2 out of 5 eggsNot really worth the money

Pros: It did work for about 2 years, and was reliable as a 24/7 on server supply

Cons: Fan was always loud and rattled. The cables are surprisingly short - I had to make several concessions in cable routing because of the very short power cables. When testing, the voltage is at the far end of the 5% tolerance, and has a lot of ripple.

Other Thoughts: I haven't really been happy with this power supply ever since it was installed. Not dissatisfied enough to remove and replace, but the entire time I've been running it, I've thought that it is just CHEAP. The short cables, the loud fan, the misaligned case screws and the misshapen routing hole for the cables, everything just looks like it was made for about the least money possible. I would avoid this and spend the money on a more reputable brand.

1 out of 5 eggsPiece of #%!!&

Pros: Very Quiet

Cons: Only works sometimes

Other Thoughts: It worked long enough for me to load my OS, now it only works sometimes. It really sucks that it costs me 1/3 the price I paid to send back something that was sold to me defective

2 out of 5 eggsLasted about a year

Pros: Worked great for about a year. It powered my system just fine, could play all my games flawlessly.

Cons: The fan was noisy. After a year the fan gave out, and now my system will shut off if I play graphically intense games.

Other Thoughts: I was originally only going to use this power supply for 6-8 months but put off on buying a new one because I was lazy. You get what you pay for.

2 out of 5 eggsOne year later

Pros: Worked great for a year.

Cons: One year and one month after use, the computer begins to shut of at random while playing games. Give it a good cleaning, and then notice that the fan is no longer working properly.

Now the PC shuts down after 5 minutes of use due to heat.
