Clean and efficient layout with a classic finish and black deco frame, ENERMAX’s Platimax considers both aesthetics and technology. Power packed to the core, the industry-leading 89 PLUS Ready Platimax is SLI and CrossFireX ready, and will add real boost to your beast machine. The groundbreaking Dynamic Hybrid Transformer Topology enables high-efficiency, stable output. 100% 6+2P (8P) PCI-E connectors are well ready for new generation DXXI graphic cards, and 12P modular design takes upcoming new CPU and GPU 10P and/or 12P connectors into consideration.

Bulky, cluttered cables stretching within the case is a thing of past thanks to the modular design. 100-240VAC in with automatic adjustment and active PFC get your system ready for global usage. 13.9cm Twister-bearing fan cools the entire power supply unit with low noise level. 100% 105°C Japanese electrolytic capacitors and an array of safeguard means, including CordGuard, HeatGuard, SafeGuard and SpeedGuard, provide maximum durability, stability and protection for a prolonged system lifetime and reduced failure.

  • newegg Future Ready! The Enermax EPM1000EWT power supply delivers rated 1000W of 24/7 safe, reliable output at 50oC for your high-end computer systems. A robust +12V rail with max output of 996W and six 6+2-Pin connectors can juice up your multiple GPUs system with power to spare. 12-pin modular connectors present endless combinations and possibilities for future CPU and graphic needs.
  • newegg 89PLUS Ready! Compliant with 80 PLUS Platinum standard, the Enermax EPM1000EWT provides high power efficiency of 89-94% at any load between 20% and 100%, saving your money on your electrical bill, reducing heat in your computer's system and prolonging its life. It’s also ErP Lot 6 ready (<1W at standby mode) with high efficiency +5Vsb circuitry. (With ErP Lot 6 enabled motherboard.)
  • newegg C6 & Hybrid mode ready! With 1W power consumption (C6 state / hybrid mode), most PSUs would have difficulties to maintain stable voltage output, and might shut-down for protection, otherwise their unstable voltage could damage system components! Platimax provides tight DC regulation to support C6 mode and Hybrid graphic power saving mode thanks to its ZERO LOAD (0W) Design.
  • newegg Modular Cable Design The modular cable design allows use of only the cables you need resulting in improved internal airflow and reduced system clutter.
  • newegg All-Around Protection Advanced multiple protection circuitries of OCP, OVP, DC UVP, AC UVP, OPP, OTP , SCP & SIP protects your system. The HeatGuard keeps PSU fan running for 30-60 seconds after shut down to dissipate the remaining system heat and prolonging system lifetime. CordGuard fixes the AC cord tightly to avoid accidental shutdowns of your PC. Full-scale electromagnetic filtering protects your system against radiation interferences.
  • newegg Twister Bearing Fan The exclusive twister bearing fan creates heavy duty airflow drawing heat away from the power supply enclosure. The unique architectures, such as minimal contact area for effective noise reduction, rotor with integrated magnet for frictionless and smooth motion, and self-lubricating bearing material abrasion protection, enable low noise operation and longer lifetime. Complete with SpeedGuard, the world's leading fan control technology, the fan starts with unmatched 600RPM to a maximum of 1500RPM for optimal cooling and minimum noise.

5 out of 5 eggsEnermax 1000W

Pros: Ok, let me just say this is the best power supply we've bought in a long time. We had to get a new one because our 3 year old PC Power and Cooling 850W had died on us, So we stumbled upon this and for the last 2 months its worked great. Its very quiet, doesn't have blinding LED's (If that bothers you), and it is very modular not fully though. Cable management is very simple dont need a cable, just take it out.

Cons: Nope,Zilch.

Wish we knew about it sooner.

Wont make me money :(

Other Thoughts: The system its powering :)

5 out of 5 eggsGood Unit

Pros: Purchased with my Enermax Fulmo case. Love both items and work well together as one should hope. Been using it for the past couple months and have had no problems with either.

A commentor stated that the powercables are stiff which I found not be a problem if you are careful routing the cables. I have no idea how somebody can snap powercables without being rough with the components.

Cons: Box i received was a little crushed but all contents were fine. So I didnt really mind.

Other Thoughts: Great overall unit. Will definitely buy enermax again. Loyal customer for life.

2 out of 5 eggsGimped by cheap cables.

Pros: Quiet, efficient, plenty of power for your system.

Cons: Cables are heavy duty but are made from low cost wire so they are not flexible enough. This wouldn't be a problem in a very large case but in a mid tower the cables were so stiff that they cracked the SATA power connectors on my SSDs while trying to rout them. At this price point you would think high strand count wiring would be used to add flexibility especially since the heavy wire guage already added to the overall thickness of the bundled cables. Very disappointing.

Other Thoughts: A few years back the Ultra company sold PSUs with flat and highly flexible cabling. You would have thought this would be an industry standard by now but instead power supply makers seem to be going in the opposite direction as this Enermax unit clearly illustrates.

5 out of 5 eggsYou get what ya pay for!!

Pros: *Beautiful, but simple aesthetics

*plenty of lengthy cables to choose through

*Partially modular

I originally bought this power supply to swap out a cheapo unit I purchased for my gaming rig. I bought the original power supply for about 80 dollars and It claimed to be 1000 watts. I had to get rid of it because of all the stories I have heard about them exploding like a Chinese firecracker, plus I needed to add an additional graphics card, so I did not want to risk any problems. the moment I removed my previous psu and held them together in comparison, the difference was night and day. my cheap one was as light as a feather, and the Platimax felt like a boulder!! needless to say the quality between the two greatly differed. my voltage readings also used to jump on the readings past what they should, and while running a torture test on prime 95 the 5 volt rail voltage would fall. my Platimax didn't have these problems. all of my voltages stayed rock solid throughout use.

Cons: Not fully modular, but no biggie

Doesn't cook, clean, and go to work for me

Other Thoughts: the moral of the story is for all those people who think it is a good idea to cheap out on your power supply, it is just penny wise and pound foolish. you will greatly increase your chance of hardware failure should it choose to go up in a ball of flames and take every component you purchased alongside it. If you are having doubts about purchasing such an expensive power supply like I did. my advice is to just do it. I now go to sleep with piece of mind knowing my computer has great power and protection. a power supply is most often compared to a human heart, and nobody wants to have a computer that has a weak or failing heart.
