  • newegg Future Ready! The Enermax EPM850EWT power supply delivers rated 850W of safe, reliable output for ultra high-end computer systems. Four +12V rails with max combined output of 840W and four 6+2-Pin connectors can juice up your multiple GPUs system with power to spare. 12-pin modular connectors present endless combinations and possibilities for future CPU and graphic needs.
  • newegg 89PLUS Ready! Compliant with 80 PLUS Platinum standard, the Enermax EPM850EWT provides high power efficiency of 88-94% at any load between 20% and 100%, saving your money on your electrical bill, reducing heat in your computer's system and prolonging its life. It’s also ErP Lot 6 ready (<1W at standby mode) with high efficiency +5Vsb circuitry. (With ErP Lot 6 enabled motherboard.)
  • newegg Full-Zone Magnetic Quadrant (FMQ) Transformer Design The Enermax EPM850EWT fully utilizes transformer’s quad magnetic quadrants energy to provide maximum switching efficiency and outstanding stability.
  • newegg Copper-Bridge Array Unique Copper-Bridge Array creates a wider conduction path that greatly helps reduce airflow resistance, voltage drop and energy loss.
  • newegg Modular Cable Design The modular cable design allows use of only the cables you need resulting in improved internal airflow and reduced system clutter.
  • newegg Twister Bearing Fan The proprietary twister bearing fan creates heavy duty airflow drawing heat away from the power supply enclosure. The unique architectures, such as minimal contact area for effective noise reduction, rotor with integrated magnet for frictionless and smooth motion, and self-lubricating bearing material abrasion protection, enable low noise operation and longer lifetime.

5 out of 5 eggsTop of the Line

Pros: This 850W version of the Platimax is a baller. I own the 600W version and it's tip top. This 850W will run 3 high end GTX in triple with no problems. If you're running dual cards then you won't need to go any higher than this.

Cons: Price but you get what you pay for when it comes to Platimax. Upholds the Enermax reputation.

Other Thoughts: They say the 600W and 750W version are disco'd but they sell them elsewhere still. Not sure why the Egg pulled them.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat PSU!

Pros: - Great Modular Design
- High Quality Components

Cons: +2 extra wires on the PCI-E
Also, could have made standard lines modular, as for example I didn't need the secondary CPU power line.

Other Thoughts: Very well built and designed PSU, energy efficient and very worth the money.

5 out of 5 eggsHigh quality

Pros: Very high quality unit, though I expected that for the price. I really like Enermax's modular cables, even though they keep changing the PSU-side connector.

Cons: Chassis is about 1.5" longer than your typical ATX PSU. Most ATX compliant cases can accommodate this, but some goofy cases won't. My full tower case has the PSU mounted towards the center, so cable management is a bit more snug than normal.

Other Thoughts: I've been using Enermax since the "Liberty" series (prior to that, I had some bad luck). The first one I bought just recently failed after 6 years of continuous use. It was easily fixed by replacing a poorly-placed capacitor in the standby power rail. A couple of other caps showed signed of distress, so those were replaced too and the PSU put back to work in an older machine. Overall, these seem to be pretty well-made (compared to a lot of throw-away junk out there).

5 out of 5 eggsGreat power supply, can't go wrong with it!

Pros: This is a well made power supply, great construction and very high quality presentation. Platinum rating saves me money on electric bills and its so quiet. Runs great with my new GTX570, I absolutely love it.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I got it before the rebate came out but still worth every cent.

5 out of 5 eggsVERY COOL!

Pros: Presentation! From the box it arrived in to the sheaths of the wires to the grill of the fan, this MPS just screams top notch. The nice bag with the modular wires is a nice touch, but just the look and feel of this power supply makes one feel confident in it's abilities.

Cons: No LED's. No clowns. No ice cream.

Other Thoughts: I did alot of research and kept this thought in mind; "Cards, CPU's and memory come and go, but a good power supply makes that all work together. Never settle for 2nd rate."
