3 out of 5 eggsAverage Mileage

Pros: It worked within it's warranted period of (1) year.

Cons: It died in less than 5 years (which is a reasonably expected MTBF for a name brand PSU). I purchased this on 6/3/12, and as of about a month ago, it bit the dust. I installed it on a relative's computer to upgrade his stock PSU. I had it hooked up to a relatively basic HP tower with a GeForce GT 8600. The system was evenly paired with the PSU, but I guess I should have gotten a higher wattage. I have a feeling that the GPU draw on it (although it was within spec as I only needed 22A on the +12V rail) eventually wore this unit out. He didn't do any intense gaming of any kind, nor did he use multiple displays. I've ordered an EVGA 600 watt PSU to replace this one (EVGA B1-0600-KR).

Other Thoughts: I should have just bit the bullet and got a slightly larger PSU when I ordered this one. It did operate effectively for over 2 years though.

2 out of 5 eggsIEC power jack is loose

Pros: Quiet

Cons: The IEC power jack is loose and jiggles around, and I believe this is causing my PC to randomly reboot.

Other Thoughts: I will RMA this product. NewEgg is great!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for low-end gaming or HTPC.

Pros: Great build quality.
Silent.
Runs cool.

Cons: I have not experienced any issues with this product.

Other Thoughts: Great for an HTPC build when you use this Silverstone HTPC case (Item #: N82E16811163174).

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Solid and reliable. Quiet fan. Excellent rating for the price.

Cons: Not modular but not advertised as such. Hopefully non-modular will go away even for economy class items like this.

Other Thoughts: Silverstone is the only manufacturer of any part of any of my rigs that I never worry about at all. I'll pay a little premium for that kind of consistency and performance.

1 out of 5 eggsThought I'd try Silverstone...

Pros: Adequate cable length for a mid tower

Cons: D.O.A.

Other Thoughts: Nothing rips the enjoyment out of a build like flipping the switch and nothing happens. Should have powered it up right out of the box. How can QC ship a dead power supply?! Either it powers up or it doesn't. Seems like an easy quality check. Think I'll stick with Cooler Master.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks as advertised

Pros: works great... fan is silent.

Cons: none, price wasn't epically low, but if it were, I probably would have been suspicious lol.

5 out of 5 eggsTo the "High Tech Level Guy"

Pros: This is to the high tech level guy who gave this psu a 3 egg.

Click on the figure, use the slider to spin the image, once you see the power rating, magnify it using the + sign. See the 25A spec?

Cons: People who think they are high up there.

Other Thoughts: In reality, they are just one of us.

5 out of 5 eggsJust well made

Pros: You know when you can tell something is well made? Its not overstated just well made, one fan that blows air in one direction. Nice cables that fit tight and feel like good quality. Good price.

Cons: None really ..

Other Thoughts: No noise. Buy this one!
