I can't answer this as I needed a mini ATX supply and don't know your specs.  I would look at the measurement specs for this supply and compare them to the measurements of your supply as well as the connectors needed.  Unless it is a custom supply as Dell makes it should work if the size is the same.

Scott: Measure your old PS closely and compare with the specs for the Athena 5"(W) x 2.5"(H) x 4.75"(D). I bought this PS to replace one in an Enlight 7180 case and found that the Athena was 3/8" too wide to fit.

the original power supply is a 80 plus bonze will this work on the emachine?  I do not want to replace with a more expensive

Yes, as long as the motherboard accepts a 20 or 24 pin main connector, and a 4 pin 12v. You also want to measure your old power supply to make sure this power supply is the same size.

The 80 plus bronze is referring to the power supply's power consumption and energy star raiting.

Not sure, I use these in a surveillance dvr. It should work just fine in any micro atx  or itx case.

Yes the power supply will work with the Acer Aspire T180, i use mine for my gaming computer and work fine, the only problem is that is alot smaller then other power supplys and looks kind of funy and wires are kind of cheap but if that dont bother you it works how it suppost to work
