5 out of 5 eggsGreat replacement for our BlueSocket Power Supply

Pros: We needed to replace the power supply of our BlueSocket BSC-600 High Performance (wireless) Controller. The manufacturer's power supply (SKU: 1700925F1) retails for $190. We purchased one for testing, and works like a champ!

This little guy is 100% identical (except the specs sticker... :P ). So far is working great. As a matter of fact, I'm buying 5 more right now... saving $160 per unit!

Cons: None so far. Will report later. :D

Other Thoughts: I will strongly recommend this to anyone who has an older BlueSocket BSC-600 with a bad power supply.

1 out of 5 eggsSounded Like Jet Engine

Pros: provided power

Cons: sounded so loud i though my cleaner was vacuuming

Manufacturer Response:

Thank you for your review. Our AP-MFATX22 power supply contain a higher speed fan. for better cooling performance in compact environments, as these power supplies were originally designed for Server applications. However, it should not sound like a "jet engine." Please feel free to contact our Customer Service via email at service@athenapower.us or via landline at 626-810-5008. Thanks again!

3 out of 5 eggsGot HP Slimline running again

Pros: Simple to install and fit in the case nicely. It works so far and that's all that really matters for this outdated computer's repair

Cons: It has a 20+4 ATX power connector so I had to purchase a $10 (with shipping) adapter from online auction site to be compatible with the mini-ITX mobo power connector. For what my computer has (barebones) there are simply too many power connectors.

Other Thoughts: This PSU is shorter than the original HP PSU so there was plenty of room to tuck the extra cables in a non airflow interference spot. Also had to flatten the cases original PSU holding tabs to let this PSU fit flush on the side of the case.

2 out of 5 eggsSaddening

Pros: This product worked wonders for about 2 months.
Then... poof. No bueno.
I ran a lot on this thing, definitely got plenty of power out of it.
Today's hardware sips watts, so I was able to build a fully functioning, and overclocked, LAN rig.

am3 x6 @ 4.2ghz stable, 1.4_V
ati 7750LP, slight overclock
8gb SODIMM DDR3 1600
1xSATA drive
1x120mm case fan

It powered all that with no problems, until one day it just shut off. :/

Cons: Committed suicide far too early.

Other Thoughts: I am RMA-ing this with the help of an Athena employee, who was quick, precise and apologetic to my situation.
I am going to mail it tomorrow, and they are replacing it.
With any luck, the new one will work better. If that one fails in the same manor, I will not buy another Athena product.

Manufacturer Response:

We at Athena Power apologize for the inconvenience and we would like to assist you with an RMA for the defective PSU. Your computer may require a high wattage powersupply and maybe the reason the power supply died. Please contact us at service@athenapower.us or call us at (626) 810-5008 and a service representative will be happy to assist you with the RMA. Thank you.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks for me.

Pros: Identical size to replace a failed power supply for SonicWall PRO2040.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: A little too much wire/connector for me. Hope it last for a long time.

2 out of 5 eggsLoud Fan

Pros: Fits my existing slimline desktop

Cons: Cable is too short to reach from HD to DVD & 4 pin barely reaches far side of motherboard. Replaced a 100W PS with this one and the fan is on full time and full speed at all times. Worst of all the fan is VERY loud and noticable at all times when on the desk.

Manufacturer Response:

We at Athena Power apologize for the inconvenience and we will be happy to assist you in processing an RMA for you for your power supply. Please contact us at (626) 810-5008 or e-mail us at service@athenapower.us. Thank you.

1 out of 5 eggsNot very good, find another one

Pros: Small

Cons: Bought 6 of these, 1 dead out of the box, 2 lasted less than 10 mins. 1 is still on the shelf.

Other Thoughts: I bought these as spares and they have turned out to be anthing but. I would suggest you look at other brands.

Manufacturer Response:

We at Athena Power sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you are experiencing. Please contact us at service@athenapower.us or call us at (626) 810-5008 immediately so a service representative can immediately assist you with conducting an RMA and get you replacements for these parts.
