5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Power Supply

Pros: Very powerfull power supply and extremely cheap. I was worried it would break down on me in a short amount of time, but it's still going strong. It runs very quietly and so far I've had no issues with overheating, even when gaming for extended periods of time with it. Overall great buy, I would recommend it to anyone building or upgrading their PC

Cons: NA

5 out of 5 eggsWelcome to my attic

Pros: I live on the 2nd floor (top floor) which happens to be above a storefront (shoe repair shop). Between being in direct sunlight (no shade in all 360 degrees around), being above working machinery, and the summer heat in what was once 1/2 the attic; I need something that will be rock solid in desert like temperatures (80 degrees even with the AC, which I can't leave running all day).

This power box replaced my older 400 watt power supply that lasted me 5 years. And so I needed a new power box that could run under high loads and high temps.

Its been over a month and we've had a heatwave bringing my little apartment into the 90's and the computer on all day (24/7). That's 720 hours straight uninterrupted power in not so ideal conditions. Since then I've powered it on and off a few times and its still ticking.

Don't let the lower price scare you away. This little box is built to last.

Cons: None at this time

Other Thoughts: Will update my review in a year.

5 out of 5 eggsgood enough

Pros: it works so far just for igpu on a backup web browsing pc. its dirt cheap
i LIKE the dual fans they spin slower so they are quiet but still move a lot of air.

Cons: only 15a on 12v rail (180w). manufacturer wasted power on 3.3v(28a) and 5v(30a) rails

Other Thoughts: used to replace a 700w bronze psu that a defective 280x killed. i was trying to check for stability after an rma before putting it in the pc it belonged in but it overheated and killed psu and mobo in under 5min

5 out of 5 eggshec HP585DB 585W ATX12V Power Supply

Pros: Price, Reliability. Perfect PSU replacement for my old micro tower case. I like to take old micro ATX cases from say 10 years ago and re-build them with modern equipment. This PSU is a perfect fit for these types of cases. The PSU has a two fan setup push/pull which is nice, they move a lot of air keeping the PSU nice and cool. So they can be a little noisy. But in these small cases you need to keep the air moving so a little noise is ok in my book. I take black electrical tape and wrap the open wire cables to give them a more finished wrapped look.

Cons: The PSU does come with one 6 pin connector for a graphics card but "Be Careful" when deciding what kind of graphics card your going to uses. The 585 watts is peak I believe because there is only 15 amps on the 12 volt rail. This PSU will not run a monster card.

Other Thoughts: This PSU is running a GIGABYTE GA-78LMT-S2, 1-AND Phenom II x4 Deneb. 1-Western Digital WD VelociRaptor 150gig hard drive with Windows 7 OS, 1-WD BLACK SERIES WD1003FZEX 1TB 7200 RPM for storage. A modest HIS iCooler H775FN1G Radeon HD 7750 1GB 128-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express graphics card. 1-LG DVD Burner. 2-90mm case fans one in front one rear. With all this the PSU does not even get warm thanks to it two fans.

5 out of 5 eggs2+ Years and going.

Pros: - Works, doesn't chug and can take heavy loads.
- Cheap, and take well to being spliced with different cables.

Cons: - Isn't modular, but seriously. If you care about that you have the money and/or time.

Other Thoughts: Being such a workhorse has definitely made this brand a favorite of mine.
