1 out of 5 eggsCHEAP quality power supply unit

Pros: Price was cheap for the advertised rated power.
Had the needed/required connections for my use.
lasted longer than most cheap PSUs.
dual 80mm fans for better cooling

Cons: cheap components,
questionable maximum power delivery.
Tier 5 PSU, at the very best, a Tier 4.

A few years down the road from purchasing this unit and it failed. Since warranty was gone, opened the case for visual inspection. Caps had bulges indicating failure, which of course added a lot of noise to the rails. I'm still not sure what components survived as I haven't gotten around to testing them yet. I was lucky I never really put it under much stress.

Other Thoughts: I guess this review doesn't matter much now as this PSU is no longer for sale. However let it be a warning to anyone considering this unit on the used market or NOS (New Old Stock) in some clearance sale or at a surplus supplier.

3 out of 5 eggsGet What You Paid For

Pros: Somewhat Easy Install
Actually worked for a while.

Cons: Heats up after a short time.
Dies in short amount of time.

Other Thoughts: I bought this card specifically so I could run a graphics card. The power supply lasted about 4, almost 5 months, then randomly died out on me while barely running anything. Dunno what killed it honestly, but keep in mind you get what you paid for. I'm surprised for $30 it lasted as long as it did.

2 out of 5 eggsfail

Pros: The only thing pro with this is that it worked. Ran it with an Intel I-3 and a 6850, worked fine 4 months.

Cons: Not even close to 585 watts. Tried to run two 6770's. Lasted about 4 minutes. This set-up is rated at 330 watts.

1 out of 5 eggsWorst Product Ever

Pros: - arrived in beautiful bubble wrap (sarcasm)
- dirt cheap

Cons: -Wouldn't power on.
-Arrived with no packaging to qualify for advertised rebate

Other Thoughts: My product might have been defective, but I returned mine and bought another out of the store full price because I needed my computer running quickly, so I was deeply disappointed. I'm a big newegg fan, but was definetely let down this time. If you do decide purchasing this product, best of luck to you.

1 out of 5 eggsSmoke and Sparks! =O

Pros: Great price amazing shipping from newegg!

Cons: I plugged this unit into a new mobo, hd, cpu,and ram. The system booted I installed windows 7 on my new HD, I booted into windows and the updates started and after restarting my system a few times I hit the power button on my case and the unit started zapping and sparking and smoking I tried to pull the cable out the back as fast as I could react but at that point the damage was done. Not sure if this was a bad unit but now Im not sure if my other parts are ok!

Other Thoughts: I wont buy this again but maybe other have had a better outcome #%#* happens!

4 out of 5 eggsDecent Supply

Pros: Fills the need for an ATX compatible supply.

Cons: NO BOX shipped with it, or power cord so no rebate....why would it be advertised with a rebate when Newegg knows you need the box?

Other Thoughts: took a month to get a simple atx compatible supply shipped out and still have not got a refund for the first bungled shipment....I feel as if newegg has slipped in the market for customer service.

3 out of 5 eggsIt does NOT come with a power cord!

Pros: It's a power supply.

Cons: It does NOT come with a power cord.

Other Thoughts: It would've been helpful if newegg would have specified if it came with a power cord or not.

3 out of 5 eggsWorks

Pros: Cheap, Works not much to it

Cons: Only 2 Sata, comes with a molex to 6 PIN power instead of a dedicated one. also only one rail.

Other Thoughts: It works. I wouldn't trust it running a high end Video Card, but if you have one that doesn't need dedicated power this works.

4 out of 5 eggsHEC/ Orion 585 watt PSU

Pros: Price
run's stable
had all the plugs I needed with the tower I installed it in.

Cons: As a PSU, it was not my first choice but customer asked me if I could work within his budget, which I did.
As I mentioned below, I still haven't had any issues so take it as it may be. You decide.

Other Thoughts: I test all PSU's that I buy or that come with towers that I'm working on.
Without mentioning any names, this PSU passed 100%, no fluctuation period. As most of you know, PSU's are about the most important part of a tower. They can make or break any upgrade or build. Keeping this in mind, I have used this brand 3 times with no returns or calls from customers with complaints. Although I usually select other brands, all I can say is so far HEC branded PSU's have worked out okay with me. If I was going to build a high end build I would use the PSU's I usually buy but since this review is about the PSU mentioned, I wrote about how stable it is, no fluctuation during testing & my luck so far.
