3 out of 5 eggsNot really modular...

Pros: 1. It's quiet
2. It has dual rails
3. It's 750W
4. The red light isn't too obnoxious, but this is due to my case having a vent on the bottom allowing me to point the lit fan towards the bottom instead of up into the case.

Cons: 1. It's not truly a modular unit.
2. It comes with three cables permanently attached; (1) the 20+4 main power supply connection (2) an eight pin CPU connector and a split (4 pins each) CPU connector. One of the CPU connectors just dangles since I only have one CPU (like most people probably do).
3. Doesn't have one-to-one connections. Every "modular" cable is daisy chained to three other connections!

Other Thoughts: Not really impressed with this. My very first modular power supply came with single one-to-one connectors. If I needed them, I used them - if I didn't, I left them off. This thing right off the bat has an extra cable permanently attached that I can't eliminate!

Also, my case had ONE molex connector to attach the three fans it came with. This power supply had a daisy chain of THREE molex connectors along with a fan header connection. This made for a lot of case clutter that I had to stuff behind the motherboard.

Also, because my case has its own fan controller, plugging in the fan header on this daisy chain prevented the system from booting up. After I unplugged the fan header, everything booted fine.

The instructions are USELESS! I kept trying to find which CPU cable to connect and finally had to search online to learn that either would work and that one of them was an extra. (My video card doesn't require a separate power connection, so in my case it was extra).

5 out of 5 eggs3 years and counting

Pros: I've had this thing for 3 years and have not had a single problem. Powers my rig fine and the Red LED makes the case look awesome. It's also extremely quiet.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: A friend of mine is building a new rig and I recommended it, but it's Out Of Stock =[. Should get this bad boy back in stock.

Cons: Stays on for a few minutes after turning off my computer.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Looks good, runs quiet and is cheap as @#$% !
The semi modular design is perfect....makes my rig look epic....mind you its red themed...Gets the job done.

Cons: None....not one. Good job OCZ! Screw these meatheads that wanna shoot down your good quality power supplies.

Other Thoughts: Go spend 200 dollars on a 750 watt power supply that will do what this one does for half that....and probably wont look nearly as pro as this one...

5 out of 5 eggsFargin Awsome

Pros: This power supply meets and exceeds my expectations of a power supply. Both in a gaming computer and an every day computer. The power is constant and smooth, but more importantly it's QUIET!

Cons: It's a bit heavy, but that's to be expected with higher end power supplies.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat PSU

Pros: - Flat modular cables
- plenty of sata and molex
- good cooling fan

This is a great powersupply, i have it mounted in the front of my case (an azza genesis 9000) and while on it looks like a small furnace in the bottom. After turning my computer off the fan keeps spinning to cool the power supply down after shut down. Also the fan is super quiet, i can put my ear up to the thing and can barely hear it spinning.

Cons: Too few dedicated six pin power connectors. There are extra six pins that plug into the modular connectors where sata and molex cables go, but i'd feel much more comfortable plugging them into the six pin slots. (there is two dedicated on the power supply, but my cross fire system will need 4).

Other Thoughts: Overall a great power supply and the flat cables are a great touch if you're into cable management and aesthetics which i happen to be. Not really a con but because i've mounted the power supply in the bottom front and my motherboard is in an inverted orientation the cables have to strain to get to where they are.

1 out of 5 eggsFried my ROG mobo and GPU on first use. DO NOT BUY.

Pros: 1) Didn't fry my CPU chip
2) Didn't fry my Ram
3) Modular.
4) Gives a false impression of a "high" quality feel out of the box.
5) Lights up.

Cons: 1) Fried my expensive ROG motherboard
2) Fried my graphics card
3) Fried itself.

I did not purchase the psu from newegg unfortunately. It seems that would have made no difference according to the other reviews I see posted here. This is an overall terrible product. After spending hours assembling my brand new gaming rig, literary fresh out of their respective boxes, doing cable management and led kit instillation ect ect it just died on me. Unfortunately, it didnt go to the grave alone as it dragged my high end motherboard and gpu down into the dirt with it. Words could not describe my disappointment, anger and frustration at that point. OCZ has really dropped the ball here and I hope to be compensated in some way for the damages caused by their poor quality PSU's. DO NOT BUY THIS PSU.

Other Thoughts: I strongly advise against anyone even considering the idea of purchasing PSUs from OCZ. When it comes to SSDs they seem to have their bearings but they have failed to deliver in this category. I am assured that this was the last OCZ product I will ever be purchasing. Poor poor poor.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear C.TLCF,

We are sorry to hear about your problems with this PSU. While I would normally suggest you arrange from a prompt exchange with Newegg, it seems you may purchased this item elsewhere. The Fatal1ty Series high-performance PSUs are very reliable and an experience like this is very unusual. While OCZ strives for 5 eggs on all products, the current Newegg rating reflects 4/5 eggs which is an above average rating. We want to make any negative review right and will take steps to do so. If you haven't already please contact our Support and we will arrange for a quick replacement.

We are very sorry for the inconvenience.

Kind Regards,
OCZ Support
