4 out of 5 eggsa very good Power Supply

Pros: Solid construction and comes with decent cables. Runs quietly. Modular option is nice of course to limit clutter in your case.

Cons: None other than I wish they went with some smaller cables.

Other Thoughts: I am very happy with this purchase.

1 out of 5 eggsDead on Arrival

Pros: Price and fully modular. Rebate and free shipping were a plus.

Cons: Power Supply was DOA. Very disappointed I have to pay to have this shipped back when I have something that never worked from day 1. Cables are stiff and not very long.

4 out of 5 eggsNice Power Supply

Pros: -Modular
-No problems

Cons: Rigid Cables

Other Thoughts: Works well, no problems so far. Good power supply for the price. The cables are a bit rigid, which has made my cable management a bit more difficult. Not too big of a deal though.

5 out of 5 eggsThis is a quality product

Pros: Quality packaging, sturdy construction, lots of cables - up to 9 SATA devices. Runs cool and quiet.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I purchased this on a Shell Shocker to replace an older OCZ model that was over 5 years old. I got a great deal on this PSU fron Newegg. From the moment you open the box you know you're getting a quality product. I am using it to power my unRAID server. Plenty of power for lots of drives and the modular configuration is a real plus to eliminate case clutter. I highly recommend this power supply.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: quiet, modular, you can tell this is a quality psu! the cables are high quality

Cons: its not really a con i guess but this psu is LARGE, longer than other psu's I have worked with, made it so I couldn't route the atx, cpu, and pci-e power cables through my case to hide them

Other Thoughts: I got this to upgrade my 400watt psu, just ordered the msi hd 7870 so I wanted to make sure I had enough juice. $65+ $15 mir, where can you go wrong?

2 out of 5 eggsLoud, annoying fan

Pros: Modular

Cons: Loud, annoying fan. Stiff cables

Other Thoughts: I already wrote about this PSU on 12/2/2012. I got replacement from OCZ and second PSU is little bit better (no high pitch fan noise) but still too loud. This is not match for quiet Corsair VX550W.
My computer stays on the shelf 30” from my head and annoys me a lot and this noise is annoying even from 15’ (across a room). I have it installed and working for four days already and is no improvement in noise level. I will remove it and install old VX550 back.
This is replacement sent from OCZ, so I am really surprised that Bob B call it as “silent PSU” I can use this PSU only in computers installed in closets or in basements, not in my office computer and absolutely not in HTPCs.

5 out of 5 eggsBest I've ever owned so far

Pros: Built computer in December of 2011.
Asus mobo
I5-2500K @ 4.1
G skill ram
6870 (HIS ICEQ)

This PSU was the quietest, easiest PSU to install. I never hear it...ever....my last one from Epower was a workhorse but it was obviously dying a slow death. It still worked 3 years later, but it was showing signs of wear. First off, the power supply itself was getting a high pitch whine to it. I know that cannot be good. It still works, but it's barely ever used so it's still working but I wouldn't trust it another 6 months in a 24/7 computer or anything.

In comparison, the OCZ ZT series for me has been flawless after 1 full year+ of daily use. I would say my computer is not quite a 24/7 computer, but close to it. I game, watch TV shows in HD on it...download ALOT of stuff. Perhaps it helps that my case has a filter for the intake on the PSU as so not clog it up with dust....but it never has shown to get hot or anything. I even had Crossfire mode with 6870's which technically it should NOT power, but it did. It also did it with ease. The room did get a bit hot from the video cards though...whew.

It's fully modular as well.... LOVE THAT.

Cons: So far...nothing. I think it's actually gone UP in price since I bought it a year ago...that's the only bad thing. I paid $89, it's now $99....LAME.

Other Thoughts: As far as my experience goes, I can't see having much of a better PSU unless you wanna pay $150+ for a more effeicient unit. Being even Bronze certified is good, so I can't imagine a PSU running at silver or even Platinum standards. I was used to really junky PSU's that always got louder and louder as the years went on, even 1 year later they were louder. So far, my PC is perfectly fine, just like when I put it together.
