Antec's NeoPower 650 is breaking new ground in PC power delivery. Its modular cable design has all of the connectors along the bottom edge of the housing and the rest of the back panel is a steel mesh. This highly efficient design makes it possible to only use one 80mm fan to keep the components cool since air can be pulled straight across them.

In today's power hungry world you need as much juice as you can get, and with 650W of continuous power output the NeoPower has plenty to spare. Three 12V rails deliver 19A each to keep everything running strong. The universal input with active PFC lets you take your system anywhere in the world and not have to worry about voltage changes.

It is compatible with ATX12V v2.2 and EPS12V systems for maximum versatility. There are four SATA connectors for your drives and two PCIe connectors for video cards. One of the PCIe connectors is a 6+2 pin connector for really hungry cards. Your system needs power, feed the need with Antec!

  • newegg ATX12V and EPS12V Compatible Compatible with the ATX12V (ATX v2.2) and EPS12V standards, the Antec NeoPower 650 provides maximum power stability to drive the latest Intel and AMD processors as well as other components for desktop and server computer systems.
  • newegg 650W Maximum Power A maximum power of 650W delivers safe, reliable output for high-end PC systems.
  • newegg Highly Efficient Providing up to 85% power efficiency, the Antec NeoPower 650 power supply saves energy and may even reduce your electric bill!
  • newegg NVIDIA SLI Certified Featuring one 6-pin and one 6+2-pin PCI-E power connectors, the Antec NeoPower 650 power supply has gone through a series of rigorous NVIDIA SLI certification tests for maximum system stability when building NVIDIA SLI PCs.

5 out of 5 eggsREDUCES CABLE CLUTTER

Pros: Quiet. Modular design keeps excess cables out of computer. You can order additional modular cables from Antec Store. I just built a new computer with all SATA powered drives, 2 DVD plus 6 HD. Ordering 2 more SATA modular cables, allowed me to install them all without using any SATA piggyback type connections. Extra cables were $5.45 ea including shipping. The 24pin main power & a 6+2 PCI-E cable are hardwired to the power supply leaving 5 modular ports open. So I do not have any useless cables coming out of the PS taking up space & getting in the way. I'm only using 3 of the 5 ports in another PS that is in a less demanding computer. The un-needed cables are in a box, not my computer.

Cons: Newegg doesn't stock them. It looks like Antec is the only source.
Antec lists the extra cables as spare parts, instead of accessories. A phone call to Antec put me on the right path to order the other cables I wanted. The extra cables are ONLY shipped via the post office. NO tracking number & waiting 3 weeks for their arrival.

Other Thoughts: I have several Antec Power Supplies that still work, but are underpowered or have too many hard wired older connectors that are becoming obsolete. In 10-15 years I've had one Antec PS go bad & it was promptly replaced with BETTER model, no extra charge, because they were temporarily out of the model I was returning. Very few other brand power supplies I have worked with lasted more than 2 years without failing.

5 out of 5 eggsIs it really in there?

Pros: So, so, soooooo quiet! It doesnt even sound like there's a fan in it.

The air the fan blows isnt even warm, and it's been pretty hot out lately.

Modular, although I kinda wish the only permanent cables were the two power plugs.

Cable length is perfect and plenty of provided mudular cables.

Cons: 0

Other Thoughts: System specs:
Phenom II X4 965 BE
Gigabyte GTX 460(1 gig)
4GB Crucial
Asus 790 evo mobo
WD Black 750GB HD
In an Antec Nine Hundred case

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic PSU.

Pros: Very good length of cables, Great sleeving, pretty quiet and cool.

Cons: wish it came with 2 more Native PCIe modular cables. and the fans could run a little faster.

Other Thoughts: Really great fit in any Antec case, very powerfull although trying to hide the 24 pin cable between the Plate and the Cover is a little difficult...requires more then 1 pair of hands the first time...but there after its easy once the cables have been bent for an extended amount of time.

1 out of 5 eggsAntec NeoPower 650W

Pros: None because DOA's have no "PROs".

Cons: It is a DOA product that cost me time and money to return. Don't have to be understanding to any company that doesn't QC their product and thus puts the risk on me to improve their bottom line. There are better choices for power supply Companies.

Other Thoughts: Power Supply Fan was DOA so when I installed it it the PS case became very hot so I uninstalled it before it did some real damage. I ordered a Corsair HX850W Silver from NewEgg. I Finally got smart. It is because of the highest level of support from Newegg when things go wrong that I will continue to make them my 1st choice for my business. Thank-You NewEgg!

5 out of 5 eggsWhere did these come from?

Pros: Plenty of power for my system. Modular cables. Fan location. Has been very reliable.
I've had this in one of my systems for about 2 yrs. with absolutely no problems. (Asus P5Q Pro MB, Q6600 processor @ 3.2 Mhz, OCZ Vandetta II cooler 4 Gig OCZ Reaper 8500, MSI 500 MB 4670 OC Vid.

Cons: Overpriced for a PS that hasn't been produced for quite some time. I wouldn't mind getting another one if the price was right.

Other Thoughts: I particularly like the rear mounted fan because the main cable bundle is located so that it is next to the back panel of the case rather than in the front next to the window with bottom mounted PS. Can't do that with the other fan location that dominates the market these days.

4 out of 5 eggsD-E-D. Dead.

Pros: Well first off I do have two of them. They both worked up until recently. The Current live one is still ticking in my workstation and has been for 2 years now.

5 Year Warranty.

Cons: The other one is a paper weight that powered a workstation up until recently. Not a bad deal overall, but a pain none the less.

Have to pay shipping to send dead power supply back.

Other Thoughts: Modular Power supplies are convenient and a hassle at the same time. Nearly every time I go to tinker I have to manage my cables.

Off of each sata modular cable there is only 2 sata power connectors. Not a super big deal, I have plenty of molex to sata splitters.

Other Thoughts: works as expected
