Pros: Works exactly as described. Complaints of drive not being recognized on hot-swap probably do not have AHCI enabled for the SATA port. Easy to boot from. Much better than a desktop dock - no extra power or real estate needed. I am totally happy with this purchase.

Cons: Would have liked it to also accept 2.5" drives. Would have been even better if it was a combo unit with card reader and USB ports. Had to buy that separately.

Other Thoughts: I have had no problem at all with drive insertion or ejection. Drives slide right in. Press the button and pop them out. Don't understand the complaints. I have not seen that issue.

Pros: Does what it says it will do, with one expection (see cons).

Cons: Drives are not automatically detected when inserted. At least on my Windows 7 64-bit ASUS MB system, one must go into disk management and rescan for drives before they can be used, or boot with the drive already inserted.

Great Backup to Disk Enclosure

Pros: Currently using this Caddy for backup to disk on multiple PCs. Works great no real issues. Very simple device.

Cons: No real cons. The retention/ejection setup takes some getting used too. Hold in the eject button while you push the drive in.
