5 out of 5 eggsGreat for High Pull GPU's

This review is from: Antec HCG M HCG-750M 750W ATX12V SLI Ready CrossFire Certified 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: This PSU has and still is being pushed through the wringer. This computer is being used in a big rig truck, fed by a 850w power inverter, non sine output, and there is no artefacting with the power output. Even handling my XFX Radeon HD 290X with 30%+ power draw over factory default.

Cons: Buzzes when on non-sine DC to AC, no DC to DC compatibility.

This review is from: Antec HCG M HCG-750M 750W ATX12V SLI Ready CrossFire Certified 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: 750w, modular and long wires. LED light.

2 out of 5 eggsBlue Sparks of Death after ~4 months

This review is from: Antec HCG M HCG-750M 750W ATX12V SLI Ready CrossFire Certified 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Cool Blue LED makes your build look cool.
Mostly whisper quiet operation

Cons: Much like the title says, it died after 3-4 months of consistant use. I'm on my desktop on average 10 hrs a day (I'm an animator and an avid gamer). One day after booting a game of League of Legends, my system immediately shut down in a terrifying display of blue sparks and a bit of smoke. That was a week ago, and haven't been able to test for damage to my MoBo or CPU... I'm praying for the best.

This review is from: Antec HCG M HCG-750M 750W ATX12V SLI Ready CrossFire Certified 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: The cables are alright come with nice sleeve easy to connect

Cons: some of the cable clips broke and the the Unit died after a couple of months it was wonky from the start it took a bit of finagling to get it going and then when i would unplug it it would not start back up without some patience and lots of flipping and unplugging until it just never came back.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat PSU

This review is from: Antec HCG M HCG-750M 750W ATX12V SLI Ready CrossFire Certified 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Very nice power supply. Obviously, I loved the modular cables but I also really like the round power cable covers - I really prefer them to the flat, uncovered power cables that some other companies use with their modular supplies. The rail voltages were very stable even under heavy load - I was confident enough in this PSU that I didn't even drag out the oscilloscope to check the voltage ripple. I even like the white LED fan with the switch - very nice lighting into the case only when I needed it.

Cons: None - didn't notice any

Pros: Great PSU
Cheap
Modular

Cons: One thing that kind of bugged me was how hard it was to plug some cables in. They were a little bit loose.

1 out of 5 eggsDied in less than a week

This review is from: Antec HCG M HCG-750M 750W ATX12V SLI Ready CrossFire Certified 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: * Nice semi-modular design with plenty of power for my rig.
* Comes with two PCI-Ex2 cables
* LED can be turned off
*5-year warranty

Cons: ***Died in less than a week.***

Made a loud pop/spark noise then the power cut out. On plus side it doesn't appear to have taken anything else out with it. Also, It didn't die completely. It just no longer can supply enough power to run my rig stably especially with all of my components attached. If I strip it down to bare bones I can get it to boot, but if I try to do any power intensive processing the power cuts out and the system powers off

Other Thoughts: This is my first Antec power supply. I've heard good things, but this experience makes me question that. Hopefully it was just a fluke bad PSU and the next one will live a nice long life *fingers crossed*

4 out of 5 eggsJust what I was looking for

This review is from: Antec HCG M HCG-750M 750W ATX12V SLI Ready CrossFire Certified 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Long modular cables with plenty of connections. Good price for what you get.

Cons: The 8pin CPU power connector cable could be a touch longer. I have an Asus M5A97 in an Antec 900 and the power supply is completely on the other side of the board. It takes a stretch to get it there and doesn't play well with cable management. All the other cables seem longer than usual, just seems this one would have been worth making longer as well.

Other Thoughts: This was the closest match to what I was looking for and the price I wanted. Overall I am very satisfied. Too bad the LED isn't blue to match the rest of my lighting. I can't take an egg off for that though, I knew the color when I bought it.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid performer, looks cool

This review is from: Antec HCG M HCG-750M 750W ATX12V SLI Ready CrossFire Certified 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: I bought this when my old mobo died and I couldn't determine whether that was the issue with my system, or if it was the PSU. Due to other circumstances I had believed it to be the PSU so I bought this guy when there was a nice rebate with it.

I had done my research and found that this hardware was manufactured by a highly reputable maker so I felt comfortable buying it. There are a few makers well known for quality and this was made by one of them for Antec.

I also liked that it was modular and gave the option of lighting up white if you want.

It's performed solid since my build (early 2014). I don't have any complaints at all. It works, it powers my components without issue, and it isn't loud at all. Plus it looks cool with the white light in there.

Had zero issues getting the rebate. I don't know if people don't follow directions or what, but I have never had an issue with a company granting me a rebate through newegg at all. You have to abide by and follow the guidelines in the rebate offer to submit for one is all... Antec sent me a card in the mail pretty quickly and I had no problems with that.

Cons: The only thing I would have preferred is if it were FULLY modular, but I knew it wasn't going in so I can't dock an egg for that. That was my choice in buying.

Other Thoughts: ASUS M5A97 R2.0 with AMD-FX 8320 Vishera, 8GB GSkill Ares 2133, Corsair H80i, 128GB SanDisk SSD, 240 GB Seagate Barracuda, MSI 9800 GTX (upgraded today and waiting for MSI GTX 760 4GB!), and Windows 8.1. Powered by Antec HCG-750M (with BitFenix Alchemy extension cables) in Thermaltake Chaser A31.
