5 out of 5 eggsFirst computer build. Nice power supply

Pros: Runs silent for me. Does the job well.

Cons: Could use more SATA connectors. I had to purchase some Molex to SATA Power Cable Adapters. No big deal.

Other Thoughts: My first computer build so can't really say how awesome it really is. But for my first power supply, I can say I have been pleased with it.

1 out of 5 eggsow my ears!!! (and fist)

Pros: its works pretty well like i think its awesome never have and problems until i find the game that makes it cry worse then that hot micing quick scoping 12 year old on Cod that is trash talkikng you until his mother says play nice

Cons: FREAKING SPACE COWS DOES IT WHINE some games this thing will make a high pitch noise that i thought was the hard drive since i bought a Seagate SSHD nope not the drive then i thought ok GPU nope my MSI 970 is beautiful
but this FREAKING mouth breather of a psu wants to whine when i play certain games like Need for speed undercover (dont you judge me) or Survivarium that level of noise is enough reason to waterboard the thing alone with the freedom tears
yet i can max arma 3, middle earth shadow of mordor, every game i own and its quieter then a 1 year old baby that is into something he shouldnt be !?!?
but nooo it wants to cause this ear splitting ptsd induced rage that makes me want to punch it in the darn throat IT IS WORSE THEN TALKING WITH THE DARN VA THE VA!!!

maybe noise is not a problem for some but for me when it happens it slowly makes me boil over till i want to explode setting me off and giveing me rage worse then playing Heros and Generals and Call of Duty while talking to the VA while dealing with Steam Support inside the post office Mailing something

Other Thoughts: i think this one i have might be a tad defective im not sure regardless its whines dont take my post to heart i never hear it usually unless i find the game it hates past that its good and i wanted to make someone lol while reading

5 out of 5 eggsDecent for the cost.

Pros: It's quiet, no issues so far. It seems decent for the cost, I'll see what sort of impact it makes on my hydro bill.

Cons: nothing I can think of, it was as easy to install as any other power source, maybe a bit pricey for the budget builder?

Other Thoughts: Only time will tell if this was a good buy or not ,but in the first two weeks it seems so.

5 out of 5 eggsExtremely cool and efficient

Pros: I came from a seasonic built 80 plus psu and I can't believe how much more efficient and cool this thing runs. I stress tested a overclocked fx-8350 with a R9 290 at the same time and I could feel no noticeable heat coming out the back of this thing... simply amazing efficiency.

Cons: Not modular but not that big of deal

Other Thoughts: I have done a far amount of PSU research and fairly picky what I put into my machine and this thing is simply top notch. Antec makes great PSUs and I have never had an issue with them. This PSU is made by FSP and has similar components to their Aurum 92+ series which are very well built. Hardware Secrets did a review of the EA-650 Platinum which is basically the same PSU and they gave it a Golden Award so you know its legit. If it is on sale you need to jump on it.

5 out of 5 eggsIt's Huge(wattage)

Pros: It has 4 12v rails at 30 amps a piece. Doesn't that add up higher? Lots of connections.

Cons: It doesn't cook me breakfast. It wasn't doa(like me going in to work).

5 out of 5 eggsWorks perfectly.

Pros: Currently the power supply has been installed for 2 weeks and have not had any issues thus-far. Was replacing a defective coolmax 700 watt power supply. The fan is silent. The power supply itself has not generated any heat on me. And from the general LED load on my APC 1500 even though it's 50 watts more then my last power supply I did notice a 8-10 percent drop in its amperage load which is nice to see.

Cons: It's a little pricey but it's worth it!

Other Thoughts: I guess some may complain about the price of a platinum 80 rated power supply. But I understood that it requires a lot of effort to have both stable power conversion and efficiency. If power kWh prices are ridiculous where you live and you still like your gaming rig then Platinum 80 supplies will pay for itself in under a year.

Since I knew it takes a lot of effort to get that kind of power conversion, I knew the parts in a platinum 80 PSU should be better then the $20-50 supplies I had in the past. From the fans failing and exploding , to the transformer inside shreeking! To even one of the cheap-o power supplies exploding a harddrive on me. A power supply is something you do not want to cheap-out on. Save yourself the headache and go for something quality.

5 out of 5 eggsworks well so far

Pros: the PSU works as advertised. I could not hear the noise, which is overshadowed by the CPU HS and blocked by the computer case. Also, the outer metal case has a texture that feels very nice to the touch, if that adds any value to it.... Overall a solid buy like other brands i have owned before.

Cons: none so far

1 out of 5 eggsUseless

Pros: The Unit was defective when it came out of the box. I'm glad it did not damaged my brand new MOBO. now it seems I have to pay $10 just to ship it back. stay away from this product.

Cons: well I guess not working counts as one!

Other Thoughts: I still have to see how the customer service handles this, depending on it my review might change.
