Pros: Great cable selection and modular.

Cons: Didn't last.

Other Thoughts: I bought this psu to run a dual video card rig that has a dvd burner, and four hard drives. It worked well for a year and now it reboots my machine randomly. It just didn't hold up. Looking for another power supply. This should have been an excellent choice given Zalman's reputation, but I won't buy another power supply with their name on it.

Pros: Picked this up 9/30/2008. Been running cool and quiet ever since. One of the most reliable pieces of hardware ever owned, no problems out of it.

Cons: They dont make them any more. Power off switch is on the inside of the case.

Pros: Worked great quietly until it broke down.

I purchased this power supply on 12/29/2009. Since then, I used it mostly on 24/7 schedule which shouldn't be the cause of problem in such a short term. About a week ago, my computer started to act abnormally, such as shutting down during minimum load (i.e. web surfing).
This continued for a few hours UNTIL my computer won't turn on until I cleared the CMOS. Then I checked the hardware monitor from BIOS and 3.3v readout was 3.028v, 5v readout was 5.88v and 12v readout was 14v.
To confirm this was not a readout error I quickly grabbed another power supply and reading was fine.

The real problem here is that this power supply was pumping dangerously OVER VOLTAGE into my computer without even noticing whatsoever. Zalman should have designed the power to not turn on instead of pumping over voltage when they get too old. If I had not noticed this problem, this would have killed ALMOST ALL components in my computer including 8 Hard drives and 3 SSDs.

Other Thoughts: This was dead on arrival. I tried another supply I had and it worked fine. I am getting a replacement thanks to the great egg...so 1 more chance Zalman!! I will review the new one when it arrives, but for now 1 star for being DOA....

Pros: 1) Runs an overclocked i7-2600K and two overclocked GTX580s in SLI without even flinching.
2) Super quiet (the stock CPU fan is louder)
3) Case never heats more than 5C, even at full load
4) All the connectors you could ever want (and they are nicely sleeved)
5) Comes with a 14 gauge power cable, the first high watt PSU that actually supplies a cable suitable for its draw.

Cons: 1) Its pricey

Other Thoughts: The best PSU I have ever owned. It sits 1" from a video card in SLI and the thermocouple I have sitting on it never registers a temperature increase of more than 5dC when gaming.

Pros: The ONLY power supply I have used since they came out. The second you open the box and see this PS, you can tell the quality. The absolute best for any overclocked rig!

Cons: Some of the cords are a bit short for motherboard connections if you want to really organize and hide the wires, without an extender.

Pros: runs quite and has plenty of power to drive my system. the cables are of high quality and look good. modular cables help cut down on clutter.

Cons: some small gripes but overall its a excellent psu, first off the most frustrating for me is that the power cables are not long enough for my tall server case, the 8 pin eatx cable would not reach at all and the 24 pin power cable was very tight. i ended up buying some extensions for both, i think that for the money and considering that this is designed for a server/high end system it should have longer cables for bigger cases, or they should included some extension cables if they want to keep it flexible.

Other Thoughts: I do have an oversized chasis... so it may be difficult on people with "just right" chasis.

Pros: 1000 watts.
Never audible.
Never Hot.
Mostly Modular

Cons: Not Completely Modular.
Rather large.

Other Thoughts: I have used this to power an over clocked i7, and 2 5870's, 3 hard drives, a dozen fans, now a water cooling apparatus. Never had a problem.

Pros: Quiet, flexibility in wiring configuration, stable output voltages.

Cons: Big. This unit has an over sized footprint, plus the cables are terminated with straight in connectors, no 90 degree bushings or elbows. This may cause problems with those tight builds.

Other Thoughts: I have yet to notice the noise issue that the previous posters are noting, and my setup is configured to run quiet with thermostatically controlled fans and twin Noctua 120mm HSF's.

It does draw a hellacious load of amps from the wall, so be mindful what you connect to that same circuit or you might trip breakers. If you have an UPS, then upgrading may be in order to maintain that safety margin.
