Does this product supply power to the hard drive? How much current can it supply, if so?

The power is supplied through the use of the included USB cable. If you connect via esata to your computer, you still have to plug in the USB cable to power up the drive in the enclosure. If you connect via USB, the other end of the USB cable is a 'Y' with two USB connectors, to plug into your computer. Sometimes you can get by with just connecting one, especially if a SSD is installed in the enclosure. If you install a drive, sometime you have to plug both USB connectors to two different ports on your computer, obviously, one connection is for the power, the other for data. Hope that this helps.

Does this HD Enclosure fit a Hard Drive that is 12.5mm in height? Some of the reviews below state that it does not, although the title does, Thank you.

It fits, but you have to jam it in there with some lubricant and/or a screwdriver
