1 out of 5 eggsDisreputable Manufacturer

Pros: Nice paperweight

Cons: Poor support
Poor quality (DOA)

Other Thoughts: Purchased a Bgears power supply a bit over a year ago. Kept it in the box till just now for backup. Went to install it & it was dead. Brand new & dead! So, I check the warranty & it has a 2 year warranty. Yay, I'm good to go. I e-mail them & tell them that my new in box PSU is dead & it was within the warranty period. They say that they haven't made it in over 2 years & that must be wrong. I fax them my receipt & they tell me that the vendor I purchased it from wasn't an authorized dealer (Zip Zoom Fly). Supposedly, I'm supposed to go to their site before I buy something to verify it's on their authorized list. Does anyone else do this? I'd understand if I bought it on e bay or something, but bought it from a retailer. Anyhow, I mentioned my feelings on this & they just stopped responding.

So to sum up, their products are poor quality
&
Their support couldn't care less.

5 out of 5 eggsNow I own three

Pros: 6 -4 pin molex, 2 floppy connectors, 6 sata,20 +4 moterboard,
two 4 pin cpu connectors, cross fire ready cables. Modular, not out of box , but on a 3 inch sleeved cable. Cables are sleeved and heavy duty. Unit is heavy, well designed with a big fan. Power is constant and non fluctuating. Awesome!

Cons: This would be a tough fit in a micro atx box, but if you need a big power supply you shouldn't be stuffing everything in a tiny box anyway.

Other Thoughts: I now own three for different builds. Mine powers 4 160 gig raid drives, 2 dvd/cd writers, floppy, and radeon 4850, with my dual core 8500 and 8 gig of ram. Not even a strain with 4 fans running. If I build any more I will start with a tarantula.

3 out of 5 eggsOk PSU

Pros: I've owned this since last year and it hasn't failed me yet once. Even under full load it hasn't crashed once. It's small and will probably fit in just about any case (I have the apevia X dreamer II case which is pretty small). It's modular, which is definitely a plus. I'm only using 2 wires actually right now. The PCIE power for my video card and a molex connector (I have a molex to SATA convertor so I didn't need the SATA cable). Of course I'm also using the CPU and mobo power cords too :P. The cords are nice and long if you're using a full tower case.

Cons: If you're using a mid tower case, the wires are too long. The mobo and CPU power connectors are like 1.5 feet long, which is totally unnecessary unless you're doing major cable routing. The other cables are gigantic as well. I guess that's only a con for some people though. Even though it's modular, the cables for all connections still stick out of the PSU about 4-5 inches (But there is like a built in zip tie sort thing to hold them flat against the PSU itself which is nice). It's only a problem in my case because there's a top fan about a half an inch away from the PSU up there. And I'm not sure, but I think when I ordered it, it only came with one PCIE cable. I don't remember for sure since it's been a year.

Other Thoughts: It's a good PSU if you have a casual full tower case I'd say. Not really good for a small gaming case like mine. I would definitely buy from BGears again if they had a PSU that met the preferences of my case and hardware requirements.

4 out of 5 eggsThe twice is right

Pros: modular cabling is well built with lots of power connections.
supports 8 pin processor and 6 pin graphics cards.

Cons: The first one I got was dead on arrival.

Other Thoughts: Always call new egg for an rma to avoid shipping charges for returning the junk you are going to get.
