5 out of 5 eggsVery impressed!

Pros: Bought this to replace the OEM PSU in a Dell Studio XPS 435/8000 and it fits perfectly, albeit without using all the original screw holes. The fact that it is modular does help a lot with the airflow in the case and it has helped the case temps tremendously. I have to say that this was my first EVGA purchase and I was extremely impressed with their packaging, instructions and support (not that I needed it, but it was made very clear that they were available to assist if needed).

Cons: no cons that I can think of. I even got a rebate card in a timely manner from them.

Other Thoughts: Due to the quality of this PSU I have decided to upgrade my video card as well and I am going with one of theirs. I highly recommend them.

5 out of 5 eggsNicest PSU I've every owned

Pros: Very well constructed PSU, heavy duty. Really like the fully modular cabling. Everything went together nicely for my build. You get what you pay for and this item was no exception ... well worth the cost to get a premium PSU for single video card gaming.

Cons: I've gotta admit, the packaging is overdone. Seriously, putting the PSU in a little protective velcro tote bag? What's the point? Not taking off an egg for it but a plastic ESD bag would work just fine.

Cons: D.O.A. GOLD POWER SUPPLY. NOW I HAVE TO WAIT for a replacement and give them my credit card in case I don't send bad one back and also have to pay shipping to send bad one back.should have stuck with a cheap one!

Other Thoughts: when you pay for something label gold you expect it to be worth gold

5 out of 5 eggsGreat PSU

Pros: Quiet! Black cables, cable pouch

5 out of 5 eggsWorth it

Pros: The fan is very quiet already, but the fact that you can actually switch it off all together really surprised me when I opened the box. So far everything is great. Full modular and 80 plus gold, amazing product. It even came with a jumper for turning on the psu when starting up a custom liquid cooling loop.

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: Even from the packaging I can tell it is a premium product.

3 out of 5 eggsFan noise

Pros: great reviews

Cons: fan noise

Other Thoughts: First time I turned it on, it has a small noise from the fan. Could be mounted such that it's against something but not likely. Will have to dismount from case to evaluate. What a PITA.

Pros: This is somewhere around the tenth EVGA power supply I have owned. They are very reliable and look great too. The included cables are long enough to reach everything in my full size case. I also like the included bag to store the non used cables. If you're like me, you throw the box away so the bag is nice. The quality of the cables is great and all black. I prefer that over multi-color wires, especially if you are going for a stealth look. In all, I would recommend this power supply to anyone.

Cons: None so far.

4 out of 5 eggsTook an RMA to solve coil whine, but great otherwise.

Pros: Fanless mode works well, and stays fanless for quite a while.
Fan has a very quiet noise floor even when on.
Completely black cables (with cable bag).
Included PSU jumper, screws, and Velcro straps.
Very well packaged.
EVGA customer service is fantastic.
This PSU is a steal at its common <$80 after MIR price.

Cons: First unit had coil whine, but an RMA addressed that.
Fanless mode is surprisingly warm.
The SATA connectors are too close together.

Other Thoughts: I don't have the qualifications to talk about the electrical performance, but since this PSU is built on the Super Flower Leadex platform, and is very well reviewed by independent sources, I don't need to.

My first unit whined, so I contacted EVGA, and because my PSU was new, they offered to cross-ship me a replacement unit. The full modularity of the PSU made it really easy to remove the faulty unit and replace it with a new one, and my computer was only down for an hour because of the cross-ship. I was also able to compare the two units side by side, which confirmed that the first unit was abnormally loud.

When the unit runs fanless, the internals temperature rises 10-15C over ambient (depending on load). Not uncomfortably warm, but when I turn off eco mode after an hour of use, the fan spins up to an audible level to exhaust all of the built up heat before slowing back down to an inaudible level once the temperature cools back down (<5C over ambient). Because of how quiet the fan stays when eco mode is off, I will let the PSU fan stay on unless I'm doing something where every other fan in my PC is off.

It's a fantastic unit offered at a fantastic price. Just buy it.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent

Pros: Powers everything smoothly. No coil whine on my vid card. Quiet as a whisper and cool.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Thank you EVGA for giving me my rebate even though I mixed up and sent you the UPC from my Asrock motherboard! Great service.
