1 out of 5 eggsOkay, for a bit

This review is from: LEPA MaxBron B800-MB 800W ATX CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Originally, this power supply worked wonderfully, never had a problem. But...

Cons: It didn't make a year. I've had this power supply for around 10 months, and one day it completely stopped working. Very disappointed. Hopefully I can get it replaced under warranty.

Other Thoughts: Spend a little more and get something better.

1 out of 5 eggsTerrible Customer Service

This review is from: LEPA MaxBron B800-MB 800W ATX CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Worked flawlessly for 4 weeks, customization with rubber shell

Cons: Stopped working entirely after several weeks, contacted customer support at LEPA, as it was under warranty, and they refused to replace it and suggested buying a new power supply if I was having trouble, despite the warranty having more than a year left.

2 out of 5 eggsGood until I remounted it

This review is from: LEPA MaxBron B800-MB 800W ATX CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: The PSU is semi modular: all the GPU and peripheral cables can be detached completely. I built the PC and it started up just fine with the fan facing upward.

Cons: A couple weeks in, I decided to try and bring down the temperatures in my compact build by facing the PSU the other way with the fan, facing downward (like a normal top-mounted build). When I did, the PSU fan started making rattling sounds; once briefly on startup and again, continuously when the RPMs started ramping up under load. The problem hasn't gone away and I am currently in the process of sending it back for a replacement. It's a real bummer as now I'm deprived of my new gaming PC with all my files until I receive a PSU that works.

Other Thoughts: The shock-absorbing brick that encased the PSU had to be removed because it wouldn't fit in the designated space/slot for the PSU in the case.
Also, the first GPU cable slot that I tried appeared to be faulty since I couldn't get an image to appear on screen when the GPU was connected to it. When I switched the power connector to the 2nd GPU slot on the power supply, it worked. No idea why; it might have just been designed that way.

-Comes with all of the adapters/cables required to use the above
-Modular design makes things simple and excess cable can be easily removed

Cons: -no issues so far

Other Thoughts: Good product for the price, hopefully it holds up.

1 out of 5 eggsIt Works

This review is from: LEPA MaxBron B800-MB 800W ATX CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: This product does work.

Cons: Was not compatible with my video card. had to order an adapter to come with it. This came with a lot of adapters but they were all of the same kind. seems like Lepa should throw a variety in there.

Why this product really has a 1 star review: Lepa simply did not stand by their word. This clearly had a mail in rebate when I purchased it. Even said so on Lepa's website. Tried to print out the form and register it and it would not let me. called Lepa on the phone and the guy said that they would not honor the mail in rebate. all the dates purchased and registered were with the date specified by Lepa. regardless of how good this product is or how long it will last, I seriously doubt that I will buy anything else with lepa on it.

2 out of 5 eggsCauses my PC to lock up, bsod and auto reboot

This review is from: LEPA MaxBron B800-MB 800W ATX CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: It was very affordable and ran good for about a month. The cables are very heavy duty and nice to work with. What drew my eyes to it were the replaceable rubber squares that go around the PSU. My case is red so they helped match the colors.

Cons: After about a month, My PC began locking up and Blue screening randomly. I have ruled out nearly every option besides the PSU. I've noticed that a humming sound comes from the PSU even when turned off which I researched to be a malfunction. Unfortunately I do not have any of the warranty papers so cannot replace it. I ordered another PSU, this time gold certified to replace it.

Other Thoughts: For the same price, you can buy a Raidmax Vampire that is gold certified. I'd say it is better to just go with that.
