5 out of 5 eggsRock Solid - Dependable

Pros: Upgraded PSU with first core i7 system and this unit has delivered as promised.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: This provides all my power needs for X58 system with 4 HDD's, high-end GPU (haven't tried SLI yet), and multiple burners, etc. I always use an APC UPS as a power conditioner - prolongs the life of any system IMO.

1 out of 5 eggsDied in less than two weeks

Pros: High number of peripheral and SATA connectors

Cons: This power supply completely failed less than two weeks after it was installed. Everything was working fine and I came in this morning and the system was dead. After I replaced the power supply everything works fine.

2 out of 5 eggsDoesn't like P182

Pros: Amazing price when I bought it. Lifetime warranty from a good brand. Very quiet...at first.

Cons: Fan started making an obnoxious sound after a few minutes in my P182. I RMA'd from Newegg, got a 2nd unit, installed it....made the exact same noise! I'm thinking it has something to do with the flimsy fan cover combined with the down-facing orientation in the P182.

Other Thoughts: Return period is over from newegg now...guess I"ll have to try to RMA from BFG now. I'm thinking I'll have to sell it though because it is NOT happy in this case. Any advice BFG?

1 out of 5 eggsTerrible quality, terrible service

Pros: Nice finish and braided cables look good.

Cons: Horrible quality psu. It started flaking out after about 6 months and got to the point where my rig was locking up constantly. I also suspect the amps are overstated, at least on the 12v rail. My seasonic 600w 12v rails were much more stable and closer to spec.

Other Thoughts: My RMA experience with BFG has been a nightmare. Just getting in touch with somebody to get an RMA number was hard enough, but the replacement I received was a slap in the face. The finish was trashed, the unit had dust all over it, inside and out. But that's not the worst part, the so called "refurb" had very obviously caught on fire before, it absolutely wreaks of an electrical fire. The csr's at BFG were beyond rude, never offered any kind of apology, and essentially told me tough s***, all they would do is send me another used psu.

Do yourself a favor, don't chance your hard-earned money or your computer with BFG. I realize that some people got good performers, but the failure rate is way to high and there is no sense in taking a chance when there are other much more solid, dependable performers out there. Get a seasonic, corsair, pcp&c, anything but bfg. There have been way too many people that have had these things die on them, don't risk it.

2 out of 5 eggsExcellent Tech Support-Poor design

Pros: Great when it works (1 month)

Cons: 1) Had to RMA my first Power Supply because it started emitting sparks/fireworks like the 4th of July

2) Second power supply RMA is underway since it started flaking out within a couple of days. Random clicking/sparks.

Other Thoughts: Customer service/Tech Support is the best I have ever seen. Response times range from a few mins to less than half hour. Hardly any 'pushback' ! If only the product worked.....sigh...

5 out of 5 eggsSimply put.... BFG ES-800W PSU is the BEST on the market!!

Pros: - This power supply is great. Very ,very quite. Tons of power connectors, sleeved connections and 85% or better efficiency... you really can't ask for a better PSU on the market.

Cons: - First one died on me in a couple of weeks but BFG RMA was very well done and the new one I have not had any issues at all and has been rocking 24/7 now for a month or so.

Other Thoughts: This is *THE* best 800 Watt power supply out on the market. [H]ardForum have reviewed quite a few of power supplies out there and they really cannot say a bad thing this thing. Newegg actually didn't carry this for a while but now has restocked it and YOU GUYS can get this great PSU for a great low price.

This PSU can run 2 x 285's in SLi with 7 fans, 2 HDD's, Core i7 OC'ed to 3.8GHz without breaking a sweat.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome

Pros: So far it has handled my i7 with SLI 280gtxs perfectly. No issues at all. Again will HANDLE 280/285s in SLI!

Cons: Won't handle 3way SLI, not modular

Other Thoughts: Perfect PSU for the price. Lots of power for everything.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: I wrote a review back on 11/27/08 and i stand by that review. I've had no problems at all with this PS its still running strong.

Cons: I still have no cons about this product.

Other Thoughts: I have read alot of the reviews an see that some people have had problems with this PS. Everybody knows that sometimes you recieve bad electronics. I have recieved a lot of bad memory, i also recieved a bad MB and a couple bad harddrives. It doesnt matter what you buy you stand a good chance on recieving a bad product everybody does.

1 out of 5 eggsThere it Went

Pros: It worked for 2.5 months

Cons: I bought this in mid November and here in Feb it just died. I was surfing the web when I heard a very loud pop and saw a spark shoot out of the top back of the case. The burning smell was definitely coming from the PSU.

Other Thoughts: I wasn't doing anything requiring intense power when this happened...just browsing the web. I have one GTX 260 and an ASUS Pro mobo that I'm hoping aren't fried.
