4 out of 5 eggsso fare so good

Pros: my +12 volt rail went from 11.86 under load to a safe 11.97 under load my idle went from 12.02 to 12.10 all other volts are what they should be great psu for a dell vostro or any box pc did not want to chance breaking my pc by under powering it with my new hd 4830 this replaced a stock liteon 350 watt in a dell vostro 420

Cons: i could do with out the molex connectors

Other Thoughts: will write another review in a few months to see if i have same problem as other people but bfg has treated me good in the past so i will give them a chance

2 out of 5 eggsWould have been great, but...

Pros: 550 watt continuous, included Velcro straps and zip ties are quite a nice addition, nice finish. Quiet, like all power supplies with 120mm fans.

Cons: On first boot, the 12 volt was quite low (11.7). My system seemed to work with it, but a few weeks later, I started getting random restarts. I checked the 12 volt again and noticed that it had slipped down about 0.2 more volts. I was not drawing more than 150-200 watts of power. Eventually, my memory (which has worked fine for months) died, spitting out tons of errors on MemTest. Of course this happened just after Newegg's 30-day return policy. I will be contacting the manufacturer (with my fingers crossed).

Other Thoughts: Other voltages were also low, but not enough to RMA it for. If the 12 volt (and other rails) were within acceptable range, I would have given this 5 eggs. It seems like a very nice, solid power supply with little extras that you don't see in other units. I had high hopes for this unit. I'm sad to see it didn't live up to it's reputation. If BFG's customer support blows me off, this may well be the first and last BFG product I buy.

5 out of 5 eggsGodspeed

Pros: I have been running this sucker for over a week now. Quiet as can be and is definitely generating enough power for my gaming rig. I loved all the sleeved cables and BFG even provides you with Velcro and cable ties so that you can organize everything inside your computer. Definitely recommend this PSU.

Cons: None for now.

Other Thoughts: My motherboard (AM2+/AM2 NVIDIA GeForce 8200 ATX AMD Motherboard) wanted an extra 8 pin connector. This PSU didn't have it. But my motherboard's manual said the extra 4 pin should still be sufficient...... and it is.

5 out of 5 eggsNew life for my computer

Pros: Lots of Connections, Anandtech gold rating

Cons: None. I'll see if rebate comes through (never had one fail although many are increadibly slow).

Other Thoughts: I selected this power supply based on the Anandtech review and rating. It replaced a 450 watt R******l power supply I had used when I built the computer. Started having lots of BSOD's and weird problems, narrowed the source down to either the motherboard or power supply. This BFG bailed me out, has performed great and can actually get a reliable oc. System:
Gigabyte 965p-ds3 rev 2.0
E6700 @ 3480
XFX 8800gt
8 Gb Patriot Viper @ 4-4-4-8
2 sata II hd in raid 0

Pros: Plenty of connectors
Stable power

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Easy to install, no issues with size, screw holes, or design. Plenty of connectors to go around, and I appreciated the included velcro ties.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat pick up

Pros: Lots of connectors for the casual user. Much higher quality than supplies that come in case/power combos, yet I didn't pay that much more for my custom combo. Not to mention the added efficiency. Worked the first time I hooked it up and I haven't had to think about it since... just the way a power supply should be.

Cons: 550W may be a little weak for the hardcore gamer or graphics junkie...

Other Thoughts: Perfect for supplying my moderate PC with the juice it needs to support my internet meandering

5 out of 5 eggsVery Nice Indeed

Pros: Securely packaged with matching black screws, black electrical ties and black Velcro strips.

As silent a PSU as I've ever just barely heard.

Cable sleeving very well done.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: What a fantastic value! I've been a committed PC&P PSU player for high end systems for many years and this BFG is impressive.

Perfect for your midrange to high midrange builds.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: I'm already seeing a decrease in energy use (based on my UPS info display). Very quiet at low loads and not really too noticeable at higher loads (compared to my older, and much louder stock HP power supply).

Cons: it doesn't bring me breakfast in bread....

5 out of 5 eggssaves me $8/mo!

Pros: Very quiet, very efficient, saves me ~30watts on my folding@home server (250w vs 280w). Dual PCI-e power connectors for those running multiple video cards (like me), and huge quiet fan.

Cons: none so far

5 out of 5 eggsWhat can I say really

Pros: SLI certified, crossfire ready.
Flat black color is attractive.
Giant silent fan.

Cons: It's big and heavy, like good power supplies should be.

Other Thoughts: I trust AnandTech, so I purchased this power supply for my newest build.
