5 out of 5 eggsExcellent PSU for the price

Pros: -Lots of cables to connect everything.
-At $100 it was a steal

Cons: -Not fully modular (not a big con).
-Didn´t buy more

Other Thoughts: BFG was a solid company with a solid reputation. I´ve been running this for several moths now with a wuad core and ATI 4890 and 5 drives between HDD, SSD and DVD. So far it has held up and worked excellent!

5 out of 5 eggsPower supply is a Powerhouse

Pros: The power supply is incredibly powerful and really fixed the problems i had with my 600 watt.

Cons: the cables going to the hard drives are really think and get stuck against the case. I'm surprised it fits shut. if your not careful they will break.

Other Thoughts: This powersupply is great and does well and that can't be worded differently. all the lines have propervoltage(my 600 watts voltages were of by 1-5 +- volts on all lines

5 out of 5 eggsI'm surprised - Great PSU

Pros: Great Price, Quality Product, Efficient and Sturdy Build - AWESOME!

Cons: The negative feedback from here

Other Thoughts: I have purchased over 5 PSU's from NewEgg and have never had any problems with the BFG PSU. When buying this PSU you must know ahead if you don't already that BFG is no longer in business and there is no lifetime warranty. I've taken my chances and I have had a good run on this power supply. For the guy who ran 2x 580 GTX in SLI........ you should have bought a better power supply. Be prepared to spend a good 270+ dollars for your 1000+ dollar investment in those cards.

1 out of 5 eggsBFG Lives up to its name

Pros: Looks Cool! Lots of cables and extra sata connectors

Cons: That's right if your shopping for a plasma cannon this is the right power supply for you. I turned the power to the supply on when it was not connected to the mother board and the lights came on but.

As soon as I plugged in the motherboard I turned on the power supply then pressed the case switch. Zzzz Zaap Zzzzz. BFG fully operational firing plasma bursts and emitting toxic fumes. This is an AMD motherboard with 5 hdds that had been running flawlessly the past yeah. Well since the last BFG power supply when out on it. Since then it had been running fine on a 800W Thermaltake power supply. I removed that one to use in the new computer I got thinking that this server could use the extra wattage.

Other Thoughts: Do not buy BFG power supplies

1 out of 5 eggsYou get what you pay for.

Pros: I liked the modular design, although not fully modular. It was also quiet. It ran for a while.

Cons: At 1000 watts it should have been able to run two GTX 580s in SLI, but it ran for about 30 minutes, but once I tried to benchmark it, I heard a loud pop, and smelled burning resisters.

Other Thoughts: This PSU should have been more than enough to handle the wattage. I did not OC any of the components, and was surprised at the result. Sure hope the PSU did not blow out other parts of the computer.

5 out of 5 eggsStill good

Pros: Good PSU. Quiet. Turns out to be better on power than my old 650W. Even though BFG went out of business they made good products so buy them while you can.

Cons: None
