Pros: Powered up my GTX 295s Quad SLI. Very low noise which is good. You can use it for 3 way SLI, it has connectors for 3 video cards (285s) but not for 4. If you want to use it for 4 you would have to use moduler plugs. For the SATA hard drives it has two cable wires. One long and one short. Each can connect 4 SATA hard drives. That's 8 in total. If you need more, again, you would have to use moduler plugs. It also has 1 cable a 24 pin connector for the motherboard, 2 cables each having a 12 volt 8 pin connector, 1 cable with 3 4 pins for the CD ROMs, 1 cable with 2 4 pins and 1 small 4 pin for the floppy, and last it has 1 small cable with a small 4 pin connector labled CABLE-ESA. That's if your motherboard has this feature.

Very Sturdy, but loud

Pros: Very sturdy. Easily handles high loads without the squealing coils of many PSUs.
Cons: 1) Loud. The fan is variable speed based on temperature, however the minimum speed is capped at a very high RPM. So even if the PSU is cold and/or running at medium to low loads, it still puts out about 40db - enough to hear it on the other side of the house. The noise being generated is from the shear amount of air being pumped through the PSU. The fan itself is sturdily mounted and does not rattle.
2) Since being acquired by the OCZ group, the support isn't quite as good as it used to be. They no longer do cross-shipping/advanced RMAs and require the customer to pay shipping. OCZ appears to do most of the support, and their knowledge of PC Power & Cooling PSUs is limited.
Other Thoughts: The ESA connection is only useful if you are using a fairly recent nVidia chipset-based motherboard AND using nVidia's problematic system tools software.
I wish I had a chance to field-test this unit before purchasing/understood that the fans minimum speed would be so loud. I'm contemplating modding the unit for quieter operation/calling to see if I can exchange it for the new Silencer 910, even though I'd be losing out.
Manufacturer Response:Hi, we are sorry that this unit is too noisy for your application. Given the size of this PSU, keeping it cool requires a good amount of air to be moved. Smaller power supplies can get away with less air movement. At PC Power we have always balanced cool operation (to maintain specs) and noise. PC Power does not use any outside support staff. All calls and email are handled internally at our Carlsbad, CA facility. When you contact us again, please mention that the PC Power support rep at Newegg sent you, and that they should speak to Bob Roark if there is any confusion. We will be sure that you are well taken care of. Thanks Thank you

Pros: Super steady single 100 Amp Rail, no fluctuation in power delivery, even under triple SLI load with Quad Core CPU and 4 GB of 2000 mhz Patriot memory. Unfortunately, I cannot get rid of Direct X error and display driver stopped working error, during 3 way SLI gaming, I have no trouble in single 8800GTX or SLI, until I goto TRI-SLI. I tried updating bios, windows Vista, Nvidia and Direct X drivers all with no solution, put it back down to 2 XFX 8800 GTX's superclocked at 630/1000 and can game all day no errors, anybody have a solution? Eventually I will forget TRI SLI, as I don't think I can ever be stable, might try wiping drive and doing a clean re-install of OS--this will be last resort before going to 295GTX SLI
Cons: Unit is BIG,Heavy, MANY,MANY CABLES, Unit is very pricey, but I also own 2 750 quad silencers and a 500 Watt unit all PC Power & Cooling, all perform impeccably well, so if you really need this type of POWER, buy with confidence.
