5 out of 5 eggsperfect

Pros: - long cables
- looks great
- performs amazing. powers my 290, OCed ig 3570k
- cheap. got it for $50 with a free cd/dvd drive so practically $30 considering it saved me from buying one separately.

Cons: none

5 out of 5 eggsSilencer MK III 500W Review

Pros: A fairly cheap Seasonic based unit.
It still works after 11 months of 24/7 usage and it's pretty silent.

Cons: Only two PCIe connectors.

Other Thoughts: I bought this for my HTPC and it's not bad for a PSU that cost less than $60.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat PSU

Pros: I've owned this PSU for over a year now, and it has been nothing but good to me. The modular build was simple to work with, and it came with the cables that I needed. It may only be 500W, but that is plenty for most builds. I am running an i5 system in a NZXT Phantom, with a GTX560 and Corsair H60 liquid cooling, and I've never had a shortage. Not to mention, it's quiet.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: If you're looking to have more than one GPU in your build, you should probably look into a 750W. Even if 500 or 600 will do the job, you want to future proof your build for changes.

5 out of 5 eggsAs expected

Pros: Im no expert on power supplies, I read a few reviews on the net and it seemed like a solid unit. Everything came packaged well, cables arent super stiff which was nice, plenty of connections for a full system. Fan is silent.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: 4th power supply from these guys over the past few years, they've all been rock solid to date.

3 out of 5 eggsOK, but disappoints

Pros: Quiet, simple install, worked as a quick replacement.

Cons: mediocre power regulation, rebate process, installation

Other Thoughts: PC power and cooling USED TO be known for producing high quality products and one of their big selling points was tight power regulation. NOW, however, since they are owned by OCX, they do not even spec the regulation. I found mine to be only within 8%. Many other brands will get you 5% or tighter.

Many of these PS nowadays use fan GRILLS on the internal fan and I cannot figure out why! Inside the case you need no fan grills! This PS had one, but that grill had to be removed to get it to slide in the case. It just stuck out a bit.

Your rebate will be a OCX gift card. The online rebate process CAN go easy, but it can be confusing and irritating also. I still haven't used that darn gift card over a year later!

Overall, the PS is quiet and performed as expected. Connectors are nice. Packaging is overdone. From what I can see of the components inside, they do not look like high quality, in fact I can see capacitor brands that are known to be inferior.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Excellent build quality and performance as you would expect from PC Power and Cooling. Nearly silent like all of their Silencer PSUs. Extremely competitive pricing.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: PC Power and Cooling has never let me down. I don't recommend trying to save a few bucks by rolling the dice with some no-name PSU vendor.

5 out of 5 eggsActually quiet, no coil whine!

Pros: I've been trying to find a power supply that doesn't make any coil whine. This one makes none! Which is excellent! I cannot hear this supply when the computer is running (with quiet fans on low speed) or off from 1ft away, the closest I can get without removing tons of cables. My ears are sensitive to where I can easily hear coil whine, even from a distance with other sounds.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: It would be nice if it had extra mounting holes to mount this up or down, as some cases only provide one mounting direction.
