3 out of 5 eggsTV Must Support 720p

Pros: High definition output from your computer to the TV.

Cons: 1080i TVs will likely not support 720p, so you will get at best a 480p picture.

Other Thoughts: Check your TV specs to see if your TV supports 720p. My 1080i TV does not support a 720p picture.

1 out of 5 eggsConverts VGA signal to 480p ONLY

Pros: Converts a VGA signal to 480p.

Cons: Does not work as advertised. The specifications indicate that this device converts a VGA signal to 480p and also converts an XGA signal to 720p. It doesn't convert XGA to 720p.

Other Thoughts: I gave this product a poor rating because it doesn't work as advertised. I bought it to convert an XGA signal to 720p so I could use my plasma TV as a computer monitor.

3 out of 5 eggs480p Only!

Pros: I'm sure it does what it's supposed to.

Cons: I have an old tv that does 480i, and it will not output the correct format.

Other Thoughts: Make sure you check what format you need, because there are no options on this device. Plus it's cheaper to just get a video card with the component outputs.
