Pros: Very solid - heavy build components - Scythe quality
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: allows you to space out HDDs and get better air flow around them while damping vibration - great for my 15k SAS drives

Not All That Bad
Reviewed By: Timewarpone on 9/24/2009
Tech Level: somewhat high - Ownership: more than 1 year
Pros: I have had mine for a few years now. I used it with about 3 or 4 different WD Raptor Hard Drives. I noticed a big decrease in the sound and vibration noise levels. I have only used mine with Raptor Hard drives which are more noisy than 7200 rpm hard drives. Now I can hardly hear my Raptor after installation
Cons: A little difficult and time consuming to put together. You will need a very small/tiny tipped screw driver and small fingers will help also
Other Thoughts: Does what it is supposed to do at a decent price

Quiet!!
Reviewed By: Bobsama on 8/17/2009
Tech Level: high - Ownership: 1 month to 1 year
This user purchased this item from Newegg
Pros: I've had my kit for a while now. I have to say it's a really good kit; I moved my system drive (a 320GB drive) to a 5.25" bay. The drive is noticeably quieter, especially when booting. There's a few other Scythe kits similar to this; I'm going to see about grabbing one of those, so that I may mount my other two hard drives along with this one.
Cons: Not the easiest to put together. Read the instructions and you're alright. Basic thing is to put the rubbery screws directly to hard drive, screw the two metal plates to the rubber screws (4 screws), slide the entire assembly into a 5.25" bay and screw it in (8 small screws).
Other Thoughts: It works. It wasn't stupid-expensive.
