4 out of 5 eggsGood stuff

Pros: Cost
Easy to install

Cons: Doors are a little flimsy. This is not made for the enterprise or commercial applications. Perfect for SOHO.

Other Thoughts: Nitpicking - SATA ports in the back are not labeled so when you set it up you have to guess which bay is what port. SATA cables included do not have clips so they could fall out

1 out of 5 eggsKingwin 4-in-3

Pros: Okay hotswap bay.

Cons: Cheap, poorly built plastic breaks easily. 2nd bay door cracked off first day of having it.

It's HUGE. Make sure you have plenty of room.

4 out of 5 eggsIt does the job

Pros: -Fits my Antec case like a glove, that is once I moved the corsair H100i tubes out of the way.
-Works with my WD RE4 1TB Sata3 drives with no problem.
-Under full load my hard drives remain cool (with the replacement fan)

Cons: -User manual provided and pdf manual from their website is a job.
-Came with a defective fan that I replaced easily
-power led for one of the drive bays was defective (its why I took off an egg as I can't easily replace it).
-the locks are weak, nothing a screw driver can't rip open or unlock.
-Sata ports are not labeled on the back of this device. I had to test each bay with each port just to figure out what sata port went to what bay. PAIN IN THE Rear end to do.

Other Thoughts: Considering everything I said above I still plan to purchase 3 more of these, having the ability to easily replace the 120mm rear fan was the main selling feature, since it keeps my 4 high performance drives nice and cool under full load is another. The original fan was way way to loud (possibly defective so thats why I replaced it)

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Product

Pros: Easy installation.
Sturdy foundation.
LOW power usage.
Great fan airflow.
Quiet fan.
Latches are Study.
Easy slip and slide with drives.
Cables and Screws included.

Cons: Cable Mess
Key feels like it will break when locking/unlocking.
Last bit of the latch feels like a bit of effort for the final close.
Key is plastic instead of metal.
Cable placement
No Sata Power cable support. Molex only. Requires 2.

Other Thoughts: I wish that more of it was metal instead of plastic. I also wish that the fan was shifted to the other side. The connectors for power and sata are located on the MB side of the case instead of the side panel side. Would make things a lot easier for installation.

Being that it is low power usage. You can use the same daisy chain with two molex connectors to power the entire enclosure. Running 1 wd green and 3 wd blacks

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Bays

Pros: Locks hold well, won't be accidentally opened.
Power and Activity LEDs on front are nice, most systems are Power only.
Drives and backplane make good contact, no wiggling or extra pressure needed.
Fans are not loud, audible while case is open, but no louder than the chassis fans themselves.
Intake vents are located beneath the silver latches, good airflow.
All drives are WD Green and don't go over 30°C even under large read load for an extended period (Parity check for ~5 hrs)
Includes all 4 SATA cables, standard 18" length

Cons: Deeper than I had anticipated. Specs are clearly stated (9" deep), but I did not mentally picture it accurately, not much clearance between the back edge of bay and motherboard (sub uATX, 8" deep from rear I/O plate), no eggs deducted.
Included cables are 18" long, much to long in my particular case. Will probably order shorter rounded SATA cables from startech; 6" would work for lower 2 bays but top bay may need 12", no eggs deducted

Other Thoughts: I purchased 3 of these to be installed into an Antec 900 Chassis and used as a storage server with ease of expansion a top priority. You cannot beat the quality of these bays at this price point. I am running a storage OS called Unraid and currently using 4x2TB, 1x1.5TB, & 1x1TB for a total of 8.5TB storage with parity. With a total of 12 bays, I could theoretically support up to 44TB with parity using current 4TB drives.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks as designed

Pros: Inexpensive, works as designed. There is good airflow with half of the back of the case unobstructed. I like the placement of the molex and sata connectors as it makes it easy to run the cables along the bottom of the tray and keep them out of the cases airflow paths.

Cons: The fan is a tad loud

5 out of 5 eggsExactly what I was looking for

Pros: Features
120mm Fan

Cons: Documentation is a little lacking
The fan is a bit loud so I replaced it with a quiet fan and used my motherboard power connector to power the fan and control the fan speed. It was very easy to replace the fan.

Other Thoughts: I've been researching drive cages/RAID enclosures for almost a year but I never saw anything that really satisfied all of my requirements - until now.

This thing is awesome - four HD slots in a 3-bay form factor.
The build-quality is very good considering the price. The doors have metal handles and metal locking mechanisms that you can lock with a key if you wish, but you don't have to use the key if you don't want to. The drives slide in and out with ease. In the back is a 120mm fan that keeps everything cool but I replaced the stock fan with a quieter fan.
To top it all off it has separate power LEDs and drive activity LEDs. The power LEDs (green) are on when a drive is in the bay and the drive activity LEDs (orange) blink when there is drive activity. In a dark room when all four bays are humming along it is a sight to behold!
Note: I am using 3 Western Digital 3TB green drives and one old Seagate 320GB and all of them work well with the unit. The case is a Cooler Master mid t
